For 14 years I was natural then I used chemicals in my hair. I have several years experience with different hair products. I love this hot comb! My hair looks better than a perm! It’s been over a year since I’ve been natural hair again. I have 4c dry extremely coiled hair. The shrinkage is a very short Afro. When I pressed my hair with this electric hot comb my hair was shoulder length, shiny and straighter than a perm! I’m also a big sweater. But my hair was so straight it lasted until I washed it. I only had the temperature halfway up. Be sure your hair is fully dry before using. Try a small section of hair at a low temperature before increasing the temperature. It’s better to keep the temperature down and let the comb lag on your hair, than to accidentally burn your hair. Be sure you comb your hair out before using the hot comb. If your hair gets tangled. Stop! Comb your hair out again. Then proceed, to avoid incidents. This comb gets the roots and short hair very well. I oil my hair a bit before using the comb. Even if you’re a beginner, I would recommend using this comb. It gets super hot so be careful and keep out of children’s reach. It will automatically shut off after it’s not in use. The on off button can incidentally be pushed. The comb wipes clean easily. It’s lightweight and easy to hold for long periods of time. The cord is fairly long. The comb was best priced at $17 because the controller is easily turned off, the dial for changing the heat is a little odd and difficult to see, the stand doesn’t help keep the comb off surfaces while hot, and it requires constant supervision while on. I’ve used it several times now, but I have years of experience. Be careful not to burn yourself. But I love this comb and recommend using it responsibly and with caution.

I got this hot comb to replace my other one because it wasn’t working that well. This one works great! It gets really hot and fast too. It goes up to 20 which is the highest setting but I’m not sure exactly how many degrees that is but I’m going to guess 200. The quality is really good, the comb is heavy and the handle is a nice size as well. This comb also combs with the stand so when you sit it down it’s not sitting straight onto whatever surface you put it on.

This thing gets hot enough for sure. It has variables so you can select the best heat for your needs. It was just like a pressing comb but a little heavier. I am sure I will be using this a lot in between monthly salon visits. Love it so far!

Andis products are always good! I was skeptical when I saw the price, but thought I’m gonna try it because it’s an Andis. The end result, awesome! It gets VERY HOT FAST. I hate waiting for my iron to heat up enough! This has a cord that’s plugged into the wall. When it’s turned on, within a minute it’s ready! When I finish using it I unplug it immediately and keep it up high as it cools so my dog doesn’t get burned. Buy it bc you will LOVE it=) Great tool w a great price!
