1 day use out the package and the foil broke. I've been using this shaver for 2 years and replaced the foil roughly every 6 months because that's how long they lasted. But 1 use out ghee package the foil breaks and cuts my head up. I don't know... could be the retailer's product or just a bad foil but no returns either wtf. Blacklisted!

This Shaver is amazing! Just be careful that you get an authentic version. There's a photo I listed of the differences in a fake and authentic box. Another person listed a photo of the differences in the actual Shaver. That should guide your way to smooth skin. Cool Care plus 5 in 1 is a must have addition to daily maintenence/cleaning of this. Be sure to charge until the green light goes off veggie first use. Should last you years with good maintenance! The replacement foil and blades are an awesome value. Inspect before each use and you shouldn't have any problems. I absolutely love it! 🤩

I purchased this shaver on June 4. It cut my hair well and I was pleased with my purchase. However, after about 6 weeks the foil developed a hole in it while I was shaving my head and neck. As a a result I cut myself painfully in several places. I chalked this up just simple bad luck and saw no reason to abandon this shaver. I ordered a replacement foil and today was using it for the second time. It has also developed a hole in it. I did not cut myself this time as I would glance at the foil with almost every pass. At this point I would highly recommend you buy a different brand shaver. I honestly believe I was using the shaver as intended and do not feel these failures were in any way caused by misuse. Quality workmanship has disappeared and has sadly become the norm

This kit restores your Andis shaver to like-new condition because it essentially replaces all the primary components subject to wear. I have bought this kit twice before, and I'm sure I will continue to buy another one whenever I am in need. For me, each kit lasts about 12 to 14 months. When you begin to notice the shaver isn't cutting as cleanly and efficiently as before and is slightly louder than it had been, you'll know it's getting dull and it's time to order up this kit. Replacement of the cutter heads and foil takes about five minutes if you take the time to thoroughly clean the shaver while you have the foil and cutters removed--which you should definitely do. If you own an Andis shaver, this is the maintenance kit that will keep it running like new.

This shaver gives very close shaves, rivaling or maybe exceeding ARC5 razors. Used carefully, the Andis (like the Wahl Finale) shaves as close as a double edge safety razor. The downside is that it is easy to cause irritation along the neckline. You must use little or no pressure and let the machine do the work. Using a pre-shave like Afta or Lectric Shave is also a big help in avoiding razor burn. Like all electrics, you need to use clipper oil or a spray like Shaver Saver to keep it lubricated. That helps to extend the life of the very thin foil too. For the money, the Andis and the Wahl Finale, a similar barber shaver unit, are about the most shaving bang for the money. They may be too much of a good thing for those with very sensitive skin.

The weakest point of any product is what one should look for. This Andis shaver is very good; however, the weakest point is the foil. Does anyone make a foil that doesn't split, causing sharp edges that cut? This is what has occurred twice. I'm on my third foil in a couple of years. Very frustrating to all of a sudden have this cutting feeling on my face. That is why I always have a spare foil on hand. Again, the Andis shaver is great. The foil not so much.

This is probably the 3rd razor replacement foil & cutter that I have purchased on Amazon & right out of the package I knew that something was off. The color doesn't even match my shaver for starters. When I try using it on clients the head rattles and doesn't fit firmly in place. Find somewhere else to buy this attachment. I won't be buying off Amazon anytime soon for things like this. I will go to a licensed retailer.
