The no-run control gel formula, anti-clog cap, and Impact Tough reinforcement make it the go-to strong glue for a variety of household, craft, and professional repair projects — on plastic, wood, metal, ceramic, rubber, leather, paper, stone, glass, and more USE IT FOR: Use it for: ceramic and tile repairs, plastic household items, leather goods and shoes, rubber seals and gaskets, wood repairs, metal parts and hardware, stone and jewelry, craft and hobby projects, vertical surface bonding, quick home repairs DIRECTIONS: 1.)PROTECT — Cover the work area to prevent spills. 2.) PREPARE SURFACES — Clean and dry all surfaces to be bonded. 3.) PREPARE GEL — With the cap on, shake the bottle then turn it upside down and tap firmly on a hard surface to push gel into the bottle nozzle. 4.) APPLY — Remove cap and apply a small amount of gel to one surface only. One dab per square inch is recommended. Excess glue can cause a delayed or failed bond. 5.) PRESS AND HOLD — Press the two surfaces together firmly for 10 to 45 seconds. Note that gaps and uneven surfaces may cause delayed bonding. 6.) CURE — Wait 24 hours for a full cure. I ordered a Hufflepuff mug from Hallmark and it arrived with the handle completely broken off. I was so disappointed because it was exactly what I wanted, and returning it felt like a hassle. I grabbed this Gorilla Super Glue Gel and honestly wasn't sure if it would hold up on ceramic, but I figured it was worth a shot. I applied a small amount to the handle, pressed it against the mug for about 30 seconds, and let it cure overnight. The next morning it felt completely solid. Several uses later and that handle has not budged even a little. I'm genuinely impressed. The gel formula was a huge help here because I wasn't fighting the glue running everywhere. I’ve tried it multiple times, and only the bonds tend to break under stress, not the pieces themselves. It’s quite handy for small repairs around the house. It’s also tough to remove from skin with acetone, so I often needed to sand it off when it got on my fingers. While getting glue on your fingers might seem silly, it’s pretty normal when working with tiny parts. The Gorilla Super Glue Gel XL is definitely one of the strongest super glues I’ve used! I love the gel formula because it gives you more control and doesn’t run as easily, making it great for a variety of projects and repairs around the house. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because the cap can be really difficult to get off, especially the first time opening it. Once you get it open, though, the glue itself is amazing and works incredibly well. It creates a strong bond and has become my go-to super glue for projects that need extra hold. Overall, this is one of the best super glues out there. The packaging could use a little improvement, but the performance of the glue itself is definitely worth it! ... show more

Gorilla brand says it all. The gel stays in place while you work with it, doesn’t run all over the place like the liquid does. Still need to be careful you don’t get the product on your fingers—glues them together just like the liquid will. Good price, works well, easy to apply.

This has become my go to for 3D printing fixes. The gel formula is far easier to work with on PLA and PLA+ than the thin liquid super glues. It stays put exactly where you place it instead of running into seams or wicking across the part before you can position anything. That control makes a real difference when you are bonding small printed pieces or reattaching a layer that delaminated. No drips, no glued fingers, and you get a second to line things up before it grabs. Sets fast and the bond holds. Dries clear so repairs do not leave an ugly mark, and the cap has sealed back up fine between uses without gumming shut, which is usually where these glues fail. The XL size means I am not constantly buying replacements. If you print a lot and have been fighting with runny super glue, switch to the gel. Easy five stars. ... show more

I find it easy to use in order to stick plants onto rocks and wood as well as binding different pieces of stone together.
