I was a little hesitant to make this purchase because I wasn't sure how the rungs would support the mattress and if it would be sturdy. I'm extremely happy to say that the rungs are very sturdy and the mattress has abundant support. The frame and slats are metal and are very well made and fit together to create a base that does not more or make noise when you move on the bed. The panels cover the entire frame nicely and keeps the pets from getting behind or under the bed, which exactly why I purchased this frame. The plus are the 4 drawers. Very happy with this purchase and you will be happy too.

It's not hard to put together, a little tedious but it's not bad and comes with everything you'd need besides a knife for the zip ties. The drawers aren't physically attached to the bed itself, there's no rail system, they just sit on wheels and fit underneath in pre-cut sections. They function just fine but the wood for the front of them came a little warped so it doesn't sit completely flat against the bedframe but it's not bad enough to be visible or an actual problem. Ultimately you get what you paid for here, it's nothing extravagant but it is sufficient. Some of the pieces aren't actually bolted to it, like the drawers and 2/3 of the mattress support so moving it might be slightly difficult.

The bed frame in general was simple and easy to put together. I bought a queen one as well. With the king we had several broken or damaged pieces but honestly I just wanted to get the bed together so we decided to just deal with it. The handlers or delivery people got way too roughy with the box. I should have taken more pictures but I don’t usually leave these types of reviews so I didn’t think I would need more pictures. The box was clear full shoes prints of multiple different types of shoes.. it basically was stepped on and caved in on the weak areas. The corners of almost every piece of wood is smashed due to the handling and one of the drawers clips had been broken on the entire basket, again due to the little care of delivery services. It’s particle board so not many ways to repair and the wood is quality so we don’t recommend making repairs on the particle or laminate on top. Besides the careless delivery services abusing the heck out of the frame it’s steady and easy to assemble.

I really like this bed frame (make sure you read those instructions) sometimes I found myself taking it apart at least 2 or 3 times because instructions we're not clear and I wished the drawers we're on a track not just wheels on the floor. And would've been nice to add handles to the drawers I will do that myself. Over all make sure you have two people to save time and stress. It took about 5 hours by myself I hate put together furniture I try to retire but somehow something or someone brings me out of my retirement and this is one of them. I like that's actually feels like real wood someone said press wood but didn't seem like it felt real to me and my back taking it up fifteen steps. Hopefully they will redesign those drawers and put them on a track.👍👌
