The bike came 3 days earlier than expected and at a decent time that I could assemble it and do some preliminary testing before work (I'm a bike commuter that does 8 miles a day, 5 days a week. This replaced a Trek FX1 that had been put through every weather condition the midwest dishes out over 4 years.) Assembly took me about 2 hours, it might have been faster but I used the included tools instead of my own and got confused a bit between the rear screw placement for the fender and rack, overall it was pretty easy and straight forward. First ride was something to get used to. I take side streets with little traffic to get to work. I tried level 1 a bit but the motor kicking in took me by surprise, being used to pedaling suddenly having the bike take some of the effort felt strange, it's something I know I'll eventually get used to and it does give you a quicker start when at a stop sign/stop light. I leave work at midnight and I brought extra lights just in case I didn't like the brightness of the lights but the the front light was effective, on unlit streets I could see my path clearly. Now something I wondered about that was tested yesterday: rain. I had it set at level 0 so I had full control while still being able to monitor speed. Lights will work without the rest of it being on so long as the battery is turn on, in case anyone wonders. I had no problems with anything electrical even when light rain turned into a downpour. So I can say after three days, so far so good. The bike is comfortable, it's practical as a commuter bike, and it can give you a bit of an extra boost when pedaling gets hard. My commute includes some rough roads and I'd say the ride is much more comfortable than riding a regular bike.

I initially thought this bike was perfect but once I got it it’s super heavy and it came with defective parts. I sent pictures of the defective item an item that could have been quickly replaced they didn’t. I sent pictures and they wanted more proof that the item was defective. I ended up buying the replacement parts that I needed. This bike is more for men as it’s extremely heavy. If I could ship it back if it wasn’t built I’d send it right back and get my money back. Also has breaks I’ve never seen and they don’t work. I’ve tighten and tighten the seat but it’s also came with defective parts. Most of the parts on this bike are DEFECTIVE and cheap. Getting customer service to get help with this bike sucks. I wish I could get my money back on a wasted ebike that came with defective parts but anyways this is not a bike for ladies or people who have a shoulder injury like me.

The bike was $550.00 plus $170.00 for shipping. Then I had it assembled by Task Rabbit, which took two hours for another $120.00. I added a Ryango drink and cell holder for $15.00, a Schwinn Helmet for $32.00, and a Raymace rear bag for $26.00. ALL IN $913.00. I have ridden the bike every day since I got it a week ago, and it is powerful but light enough to move, has good tire width to get through the sand on the strand, and looks great! I have another ebike that was almost 3x the price, and it's a beast and too much for me. (ya don't know until ya know, ya know? ) I Like this one WAY better!

Day 1 review: Bicycles are my day job, and I know quality when I see it. That said, there are obvious places where cost cutting measures have been taken. If you're buying this bicycle, you aren't expecting top shelf quality. This isn't a mid-drive motor on a Specialized or Trek. Everything that follows is from that viewpoint. With the understanding that "for as cheap as this was" (about 550USD after shipping) But I love it. After reading up on reviews, taking a look at some videos, I was still pleasantly surprised. It's heavy in the back due to the battery and motor, but that's to be expected of an ebike. Overall, still surprisingly light. Ease of construction: I build and service thousands of these every year so it's a trivial job for me. That said, it's *very* straightforward, to the point you likely don't even need the directions (but please read them). Comes mostly assembled, you just need to put on the front fender, wheel, light, rear fender and light, luggage rack/battery holder combo, seat, pedals, handlebars, and headset (the thing the handlebars sit in) everything else comes attached to the spots they need to go. For those who say "my battery was DOA!" yes, you need to charge it ASAP. That should always be the first thing you do with lithium batteries. There is also probably going to be a switch somewhere on the battery to activate it. If you don't think that's useful, you've never dealt with high voltage batteries before. Turning on the bike is super easy, just hold down the power button for a couple seconds. It'll take another second or two for everything to boot up properly. There are 5 levels of "pedal assist". I put that in quotes because it's not true pedal assist, it's more like "you pedal and the motor does all the actual work" and you don't really add much to the power. This may or may not be a negative for you, if you want a true assist. Level 1 seems to be "barely doing anything at all" but that might be intended as a "throttle only" setting. Feels solid, none of the welds seem sloppy, and the only noises I'm hearing are the metal bits settling after initial construction. The brake pads seem to be made of a harder material than I'm used to, as the brakes take a little longer to stop than I'm used to. The brakes also cut power to the motor so you don't have to worry about them fighting each other. I noticed a negative review complaining about lack of foldability? It did not claim to be foldable that I saw. The best you can hope for with collapsing to a smaller size is to take the front wheel off (quick release!) and that's about it. Pros: okay weight, easy to go from boxed to riding, straightforward options and accessories, good speed on flat even grass field, brakes cut the motor and brake light flashes Cons: horn is quiet, light is dim, brakes are too stiff out the gate, a couple parts are lower than desired quality (but acceptable as price trade-offs) Remember to do all your proper maintainence, keep tires inflated and check the wear&tear, oil the chain up and keep it clear of debris. NEVER LEAVE YOUR BICYCLE OUT IN THE RAIN and be sure to clean off excess moisture after riding in wet conditions. Rinse bicycle off if ridden in winter on salted roads. If near coastal areas, spray exposed metal with rust preventative. Will update after some use!

I got the bike for my wife and she loves it. The bike rides very smooth and is comfortable to ride. The battery life is amazing on this model and you can ride for many miles in the full electric mode going 20 mph. This bike was recommended to us by a friend and we are glad we purchased it. Has been a few months and have had zero issues.

I don’t know if it’s the instructions or problem with the pieces but this bike is hard to put together. The part that’s giving me the most trouble is the basket that holds the battery. The part feels like it doesn’t go to this bike and all I’m doing is scratching up the bike in the process. If your not proficient in building bikes than stay away from this one!
