Old water heater an uninsulated room of an old farmhouse was proving inefficient to keep reheating all day. Replaced it with all point of use, on demand heaters. This one went in the kitchen, underneath the sink. Install was fairly straightforward. Just be sure to tighten everything down. I also installed a 20 amp switch which allows me to turn this on as necessary, and time my heating load with solar production. Adequate amount of water for a small household doing occasional dishes.

Would have gave it 5 stars except it was very difficult to get the pop off valve to stop leaking. Had to use pipe tape and pipe thead sealer. Finally after some time messing with it, it Finally did seal. Works well only needs to be about 1/2 way because it's very hot. Working great so far. It's been in use for over a week now and it's under my kitchen sink, so it gets heavy use.

My house is large and U shaped. My water heater is on the opposite side of my house from the kitchen. It takes 4 gallons of water to get the hot water to the kitchen. I know this because every time I want to use hot water I fill gallon bottles and then use the water for filling the coffee maker, ice machine and watering plants. I don't like wasting that much water. When I saw this mini tank water heater available as a free promotional I ordered it. It arrived very well packed and looks good. I have not yet installed it as I'm an overweight old lady with a bad back. I plan to bribe the young man next door with homemade chicken enchiladas to get him to install it for me. I will update my review after I have it installed and start using it.
