  • The psvr2 should come like this
This set drastically improved the comfort of my psvr2, along with the fit around my eyes. Without this, I could not get the lenses correctly positioned without hurting my huge nose. With this, the headband sits in more of an adjustable position.

  • Sweet Spot Found!
It was very easy to install. It comes with a tool to disassemble the factory parts and the new parts snapped right in. The insturctions were detailed and easy to follow. I no longer have to shift the headset every few minutes. Defiantly recommend.

  • Just as comfortable as the Globular Cluster one, bur $10 cheaper!
Incredible value. Slightly difficult instalation (but same as Globular Cluster), but after install- it's so good! Great build quality, love the magnets, love the ice silk pads. Balances the weight much better and allows for longer sessions. Great comfort and visuals! And the design of it is great.

  • Great, just not my favorite
First off, I think it's important to say that the default padding in the PSVR2 headset is an absolute embarrassment and Sony should be ashamed of themselves for releasing the product in that state. It's just terrible. After you own the thing a few weeks it's like strapping a cheese grater to your head and I really didn't use mine much at all after that out of simple discomfort. What I run with most of the time is the Globular Cluster CMP2 pads, and I'm going to be directly referencing that as they have a lot in common. There's a kind of scary installation process first, they have a video here on the store page that shows you how it works pretty concisely. What it doesn't tell you about is the awful breaking plastic sounds it makes, but that's normal. Once installed, you need to spend a bit of time adjusting the top strap to get the headset in just the right spot. It's going to take some time without a doubt, but it's worth it. Once you have it perfect, you're going to be in those fresnel lens's sweet spot almost without effort and you'll be able to stay in it for a change. The actual padding is really nice. Soft cloth, thick foam, a good cupping grip on the back of your head. It's a MASSIVE improvement over stock. Like the Globular Cluster, you get some options. Soft cloth, PU leather, and some silicone pads. On the GU I use a PU forehead pad and the silicone back pad to maintain the headset in position (I have a shaved head so this thing gets ahold and does not let it move). This one instead of the silicon rear grip has some 'gel' pads, but it also includes one for the front which GC doesn't have. I think I prefer their silicone front pad and the GC's rear pad, but I can't really mix and match. That said, they're both very, very good options. They run about the same price too. So you really can't go wrong either way. I again would stress that getting one of these pad sets, specifically the customizable ones with the adjust able top strap, is non-negotiable if you want to play a lot of PSVR2. It transforms it from a somewhat torturous experience that you have to endure to play the games into something comfortable that you can do as long as your stomach can handle it, assuming you've not gotten your VR legs yet. As a bonus tip about the PSVR2, I'll also add that image persistence rates on it are... not great. That is, when the pixels change, they tend to smear some of the previous frames as a product of them being early generation OLED panels. The higher you have the headset's brightness set, the worse this is. If you find yourself getting a lot of eyestrain in PSVR2 that you might not get in other headsets, try setting the brightness as low as it will go. Some games become nearly unplayable with it that dark, unfortunately, and you may have to tolerate the eye strain to play them, but most games are fine and suddenly that discomfort is just gone. I discovered this after finding that while I could play for hours on my Quest 2, the PSVR2 was always giving me massive headaches, and it led to a bunch of research on the subject. ... show more
