  • AMSXNOO manual wood splitter
Size: Big
worst workmanship/finish of any tool i have ever bought. Paint lob is garbage, Welds look like crap, handles will not stay on and dose not work like it dose in the video. shape of the wedge makes it very difficult to split the wood

  • Manual Wood and Kindling Splitter
Size: Big
This manual wood splitter offers a different approach to splitting smaller logs and creating kindling without relying on a traditional axe. The long steel pole and inertial gravity design allow you to use controlled downward force to split the wood, while the two handles give you a more secure place to grip the tool during use. The 45 Mn steel blade is designed for splitting, and the non-slip ergonomic grips are a useful feature when working outdoors. This type of tool makes the most sense for preparing manageable pieces of firewood and kindling rather than expecting it to replace heavy duty equipment for extremely large or difficult logs. It can be useful around a fireplace, backyard fire pit, campsite, or anywhere you regularly need smaller pieces of wood for starting a fire. If you are considering a manual log splitter, kindling splitter, firewood splitting tool, or gravity wood splitter, this is worth considering for its straightforward design. It requires no electricity or fuel, making it easy to keep available for backyard or camping use when you need to prepare wood. ... show more

  • A solid, safe option for beginners, but not a replacement for a traditional axe
Size: Big
I believe this tool really shines for someone who needs to do light splitting but feels nervous about their axe work or accuracy. I tested this on a dry, gnarly piece of maple; while it took more effort than I initially expected, I realized that was due to the wood itself rather than a fault of the tool. It isn't the prettiest piece of equipment I’ve ever used, but it doesn't need to be—it just needs to hold up to the task. One thing to keep in mind is that you have to be careful how you pick it up. The design allows you to lift the weight and let it fall to drive the wedge, which definitely helps with accuracy, and it works quite well on straight-grain wood. At around $90 the value is questionable , I think it’s a worthwhile purchase if you are uncomfortable swinging an axe. That said, it doesn't quite fit into my personal wood-processing routine, and I wouldn't necessarily rush to replace it if it went missing. Overall, it’s not a bad tool, but it's best suited for those who want a safer, more controlled way to manage kindling. ... show more

  • Unfortunately Didn't Work Well for Me
Size: Big
I really wanted to like this because the concept looked great in the video, but my actual experience was very different. It didn't work nearly as easily as demonstrated. Even with relatively small pieces of wood, I had to use a lot of force to get the splitter to do anything. I found myself putting so much effort into slamming the handles down that I was concerned I was going to smash my face into the center post, and still the logs didn't split. That made the whole process feel awkward and unnecessarily risky. I tried different pieces and techniques, but I couldn't get the kind of results shown in the product demonstration. The idea is clever, but in practice it just didn't work well for me. For the amount of effort required, I'd rather use an splitting maul or even a wedge and maul to split logs manually. ... show more

  • Works great
Size: Big
It works great with wood without several knots. It is a great weight and is easy to use. Make sure you have the blade in the center of the wood and don’t let the blade get you. It’s not super sharp but it will cut you. It’s very durable and built to hold up to a lot of use. The size is perfect. My wife can use it without having any problems. • 5 stars
Size: Big
I have never seen a wood splitter like this. It's a unique design. It's very easy to use. The size is about right for my height at least. Not much chance of getting hurt. The slide action is easy to do. I believe that it is worth the money in my opinion.
