Easy to put together. I stained it. I have had two different contractors here for jobs and they both stopped to stare at the bench! They said they were looking for ideas to build their own benches... they both loved this bench!!!!

I'm glad that the items arrived packaged well (3 benches) and it was fairly easy to assemble (per my brothers who did it). My only reservation is that I'm not sure how much it will hold or how durable it will be. I weigh about 145 lbs and when I sat on the bench, it felt like it has some kindy of springy feel to it toward the back side of the seat. I wish there were two achoring boards in between the middle & the outer edge to make it more sturdy. My brothers & I are are looking for a potential to add that ourselves for each bench. We got them as a memorial bench for my 14 years old nephew we lost last year. We will be putting the benches in the church compound where he used to serve as a Deacon. We got some plaques with his pictures to go on the benches back rest, so he will be remembered by all who will sit on the bench... I hope that the benches will endure the coming fall & winter season of Northern California! ... show more

Bought this for my wife, to go on our front porch. Nicely made, solid and inexpensive compared to things you find on the high street. Came in a week or so, flat packed, but easy to assemble. I bought the unpainted version, I'm leaving it over the winter before staining, since it says it is treated timber. Very happy! ... show more

This comfortable Amish bench is on our front porch. We did put poly on to help with the elements. Arrived well packaged with easy instructions & is well built. We purchased a bench cushion & decorative pillows & have received complements from neighbors.
