So this bed was an adventure of a process for me. I purchased the frame and did not receive my mattress for a week later. That's fine I'd build the frame and have it ready for the mattress, sleep in my guest room in the mean time. Well- the bed was very straightforward in it's build. Nothing really surprised us, definitely a 2 person job as the box was pretty heavy and a lot of pieces were heavy as well... nothing surprised us until the hydraulic system to lift the bed came into play. For some reason the hydraulic just wouldn't go down. My friend helping me build this is a big ex-marine type guy, and no matter how much weight we pulled it just wouldn't go down. The company shipping this quickly responded and within a week I had new hydraulics to hopefully install and get fixed..... which of course they end up not working either! I quickly emailed the company again and they expedited a new frame where I was able to remove the hydraulics and successfully install them! The bed lifts very easily with one arm even- I would recommend the company alter the outlets directions as you can't have 2 items connected with these new age USB-C blocks that need to be plugged in for everything. I'd also love to see a white frame option! Overall, I'm content with my purchase and certainly recommend the frame!

We had a situation but it was resolved wonderfully. When the bed was delivered the box was badly destroyed and some parts were broken. I contacted the seller and since the parts were not readily available separately, they sent another bed. It does take some time to put together and I haven't made it up yet. I'm hoping that with our 12" mattress, I will be able to use the hydraulic lift without taking off the bedding. The parts are very well made and sturdy. The only change I might suggest is to have some sort of a panel to close off the front of the storage area. I realize it might be difficult when lifting the storage compartment but I have a cat and with the openings on the side of the headboard the cat can crawl through and into the storage area. The seller was in great communication with me regarding this situation of the broken pieces and for that I'm truly grateful.

Took about 4 hours to put it together by myself, but I’m super satisfied! The hydraulic pumps are pretty stiff and take a fair bit of strength to push down after assembly, but I imagine they’ll loosen up with use. The instruction book is missing the last steps on installing the slats, but it’s pretty easy to figure out.
