Very happy with the engineering and the quality of this product. It was a perfect fit for a multipurpose room and blends in quite well. I have put together many pieces of furniture and the instructions were the best I've seen. I does take a while to assemble(my wife and I did it in about 2 hours after organizing all the parts/pieces), but that's a small price to pay for the value. The bed is heavy in total. If you have to assemble it on a different level from where it was brought into the house, I highly suggest breaking it down and taking several trips. You'll thank me later. The finish is on the fragile side, it won't hold up to abuse, but it is good for our purposes and will last if treated well. Be careful to not hit the edges sharply, it will chip. My only suggestion for improvement would be to make it possible to install the supplied outlet on either side of the bed. This could be accomplished by simply cutting a hole on both side panels to give us a choice and then include a filler to cover the hole that isn't used. I am only mentioning this because the way we have it placed, it is too tight to a side wall and makes the outlet unusable, not a big deal, but this option would have made it close to perfect. The bed arrived in two different deliveries as stated, sadly, one piece was damaged buy the shipper, NOT the seller. The seller was extremely easy to deal with, communicated quickly and resolved the issue without delay. I'm happy to praise good customer service, good design, good value and especially good instructions. Well done.

Instructions are very easy! Extra screws, etc. It is fragile wood so be careful if you use a screwdriver. It is very heavy and seems sturdy when pulled out. Overall I'm happy with it. It is very heavy so I would suggest when you get ready to insert the drawers that you have it placed where you want it. I have a mattress that needs to sit for 5 days due to memory foam. Gave it 4 stars since I cannot get on it yet to try it out. Pretty pleased. Took me about 6 hours by myself. It was a 2 day project in the evening. Love the design. QUEEN SIZE.

Not Junk - No Regrets!

I know why you're reading reviews right now. You have bought furniture off of Amazon before and you were disappointed. What you received was a pile of Chinese made junk that was difficult to put together and lasted about as long as the gallon of milk in your refrigerator. I've been there and I know how you feel right now. I'll also tell you that the only time I write reviews for a product is when it sucks - this product is worth my time and is the exception... The product arrived in two heavy boxes. The boxes had been damaged in shipping, but it was no big deal as the product was packaged extremely well and the damage never came close to touching the wood inside. A+ on packaging. The instructions were very clear. You can follow them. You don't have to know Hanzi (Chinese Symbols) to figure it out. A+ on the documentation. The hardware was all there. There was at least one extra of every screw. A+ The best part is that everything aligned perfectly. If you have an issue getting things to line up perfectly, you made a mistake. Go back and find it. But everything lines up perfectly and goes right together. No bending, wedging, twisting for anything required. It just works. Fit A+ I'll tell you that if you're looking for an every day bed, this isn't it. If you have the money to buy this product, then you have the money to buy a real bed. Go buy it. This is a sturdy bed, but I wouldn't put it up and down every day. It's a great way to store a bed that needs to be used occasionally. We got this one for our Lake House to sleep extra kids and adults on. If you're worried about buying another piece of garbage off of Amazon, you can go look for another listing. This one will not fit that bill as it's everything you are hoping to find but never knew existed. Just buy it and stop your search right here.

AWESOME BED

I love this bed. It is beautiful and functional. This is the perfect addition to our office/guest room. The bed arrived very well packaged. I will say though that the boxes are very heavy even for two older people, so just know if you are alone you will more than likely need help to move the boxes. This murphy bed was a little time consuming but easy to put together. It probably took us roughly 4 hours to put it together going slowly and reading the directions, which were clear and easy to follow. There is also a video in this comment section if you need additional help. The slides pull out easily when rolling the bed in and out. There isn't anything about this that I don't like. Every screw hole and anchor hole was drilled precisely in the spot it needed to be. We were given enough hardware to accommodate everything. All in all I would definitely recommend this bed to anyone looking for a murphy bed to save on space. I bought a 6" trifold mattress that was recommended by one of the other readers which proves to be very comfortable and good quality as well.

Poorly designed. Twin size

I so badly wanted to give this a 4 star! I was so impressed by this bed. It did take me alone roughly 5hrs to put together. However, I did contact their customer service that was listed on the instructions manual to bring to their attention about very important and specific flaws in their product. The very end piece cracked (see phone of the part I'm talking about) when I sat at the edge of the bed. The end slider drawer shifted back making that part uneven and because they didn't make a SOLID part, it snapped. I also noticed day one that the 4" mattress I have on this automatically sags between the slats of that part because, once again it's not a solid piece. I will most likely need to get a thin piece of particle board to put on top of it to keep it from sagging. I reached out to the company and they blamed the mattress for being lumpy, not their product for being faulty. I explained and sent them pictures from below and told them to reconsider the design of the bed not just that part but the fact that if you have this bed on a hard surface without a rug of some sort, the base will roll back. They need a locking mechanism to keep that from shifting. It is a great product idea, but their needs to be updates in the design.
