This queen size bed had been a good purchase. I assembled it by myself in a few hours and the directions were pretty simple and easy to follow. You have to follow the details fairly precisely and I can see how not paying attention to some details can get it assembled incorrectly. The wood is engineered wood, not real wood, so it can be chipped / scratched. The framing is mostly metal and it's quite stable. I have a 14" Nectar mattress which fits well on it and the bed is very quiet. The UBS charging port on top works well though I think it would have been better placed in one of the cubbys. The "bookcase" headboard is good for laying down books, remote controls, sleep mask, etc. The drawers underneath were easy to assemble but note they are actually separate from the bed. They are on rollers that roll directly on the floor. There is a little screw space in the board that connects onto a tiny screw head that is attached to the bed to keep the drawers closed. I have tile floor so they roll out easily but if you have a deep plush carpet it could be problematic getting them to roll out and keeping things out of the wheels. If you move the bed they can come loose and then are left laying out on the floor and have to be put back in place. Be careful at night though, the wood frame pieces are solid and have some sharp corners and can cut / slice your toes / shins if you bump into it. And keep little kids away, if they fall on / against it they could get cut up. So overall it's fairly simple, plain and functional bed without any bells or whistles that seems stable and quiet with good quality workmanship that should last a long time. Pros: easy to assembly (follow the directions!), sturdy for a queen, love the built in outlet/charging station, the wood-look veneer is attractive. Cons: boxes are HEAVY (had to open the long one for two people to lift it into the car); the mattress slides on the smooth rails (will need to add some kind of grippy padding; the drawers are awkward because you have to lift them up to release a hook but there are no handles; additionally, I kept stubbing my toes walking around the bed. Note: we used a FULL comforter on a QUEEN bed so that the fabric wouldn't interfere with the drawers (a queen hangs over the edge much more). Overall, I give this 4.5 stars. It was exactly what we needed for a room with no dresser. The instructions were clear. Bonus: No damage in shipping and NO pieces were missing and the mfr even included extra hardware. ... show more

Pay attention while you are assembling it, it will do what it says. Dimensions are accurate. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND if you are bigger people. Me and my partner are under 350lbs combined, and that's what I'd trust this frame at. If you are combined over 400lbs, get something stronger. Lights work, drawers are good, looks great. Just if you are large or overweight...get something sturdier ... show more

The bed is built with a solid metal frame and the lower part of the bed is encased by solid engineered wood panels that when detached reveal four storage drawers. The headboard has various compartments that makes this bed a very useful sleeping utility. It even contains an electric outlet and a phone charger place at the top of the headboard where it is not too noticeable. The bed looks beautiful and gives of a solid wooden appearance thanks to the quality of the engineered wood. It is not the regular particle board wood type of wood composite which might break in your hands as you work with it. Assembling the bed is super easy and it comes with extra hardware just in case you need it. The manufacturer claims it does not need a box spring and that could be so only if you use a heavy duty thick and hard mattress. If you have a lite mattress that you intend to place on it, my advice would be to do what I did and that is to get a large or two sheets of thin Masonite boards to put under the mattress. Those, you can get at homedepot. That solved this minor problem for me. Other than that, this product surpassed my expectations so I definitely would recommend it to others. ... show more

Bought this in August when I moved into a new house. Takes 2 people to put together, mainly for lifting and arranging the pieces as it goes together and once completed. Instructions are clear. Very sturdy, absolutely no issues with feeling like it is flimsy. The underbed drawers are great for storage. Need to be careful about things falling onto the floor from between the mattress and the headboard, but there's enough room to easily retrieve items. Okay so to start off, it comes in two boxes. I didn’t know this and one was delivered and my tracking said delivered so I put together the frame and didn’t have the drawers or the outlets or the LEDs (all of the reasons I bought the bed). They came the day after. It comes with everything needed to assemble in the box with the frame. I do recommend yawing your own screwdriver though. it DOES leave ok exactly like the picture though. And seems pretty sturdy. Only had one bit of damage from incorrect length dowel. But it’s easy to cover with the shelf. The drawers have a bolt to lock them to the frame (awesome). Height wise with a 12in mattress the top hits my knees (I’m 6’) so it’s medium height. The drawers are HUGE but shallow. The gaps in the wire are a bit big. wouldn’t recommend socks or underwear but for jeans and sweaters they would be perfect. Overall I thinks it’s a good value for the money. after putting it together, given the option, I would buy this again. Took about 3 hours to put together I total. ... show more
