I took a chance on this bed since there weren’t any reviews yet. I am pleasantly surprised with how it looks and with how sturdy it feels. The bed came in two large heavy boxes. I had to get help bringing them in my home. I unboxed and sorted all the pieces before starting assembly. I will say that this took a solid 6 hours to put together. Assembly was not difficult, just time-consuming. There are certain parts that will require two people. The instructions provided are very detailed and easy to follow. Just don’t get in a rush and make sure that you look at the provided diagrams and follow the instructions exactly as they are laid out. Awesome space saving bed! Multifunctional with desk and above headboard shelving
This Murphy bed is awesome! We are very happy with the amount of space we have gotten back in our small 10X10 room. We were back and forth on getting a bed without a desk but ultimately decided on this one because you had much more use of your space! The assembly was tedious with a lot of small parts... probably a 3.5/5 stars on the ease of assembly scale. But it took a couple hours and everything worked! We love that the bottom shelf is completely removable. Not on a hinge or anything so you can pull the whole thing out to get everything out of it. The shelf can hold 4 medium sized pillows and the sheets of the bed. The bed feels sturdy however, if you're short and need to stand on the bed to open it up, I would recommend standing on the connection joists juuust in case. We also like that it didn't come with a mattress because we got to choose the firmness that you want. The above the headboard book shelf has a LED strip that is multicolored. You can download an app to play with the colors if you want. Overall, great bed. My guests have loved it. I also love having my room back for use! ... show more

Turned out well!
Pleasantly surprised with this bed! We bought this with only one review so I was a bit nervous. Came in two boxes. Took us 2 people and maybe 3-4hours to build. But well worth it! We wanted a space for a guest bed but also an office in our small spare bedroom. Highly recommend!

Project to put together, but nice space saver
Be prepared for a project. This took me a whole afternoon with occasional help. A good portion of that time was just getting everything unboxed. Got this to save on space after downsizing in hopes to not have to have a desk and bed separately in the spare room. Works as described and it does hold a decent amount on the shelves. I’m able to fit my Cricut Maker, a small printer, work supplies, and some decor on it fine even when the bed part is down. With the bed folded up, it makes a pretty decent sized desk/work space. However, it’s not as sturdy as I’d hoped considering the weight limit. The boards at the foot of the bed are not very strong at all. Already had some issues with one after it was used only a couple times and had to fix it. I put a tri-fold mattress on it with a topper and it’s comfortable enough. My guests slept okay on it. Worth it.
Love it. Takes a while to put together, but worth it. I love having the desk for working on my tablet. Very stable/sturdy. Wasn't as white as I wish, more antique white.
