You are going to be completely thrown off by the fact that this bed comes in this little rectangle box. It’s heavy, but it looks impossible that a King Size bed is in there. The headboard has to be assembled; it’s not one solid piece. You have to pack your patience when putting it together. I knew I didn’t have it, so I asked my brother-in-law and nephew to assemble it. It took them about two hours. I’m on the fence about adding a box spring for more height. But for right now, I’m going to enjoy it as is. It feels sturdy. No squeaking. Helpful Tips: 1. Lay your parts out per the picture on page two BEFORE you start assembling anything. That way, you already have all your pieces identified and don’t have to search through that endless amount of screws. 2. put your screws, nuts and bolts in separate piles to avoid mixing them. 3. The directions are mainly arrows, the name of the part and the amount needed, so if you aren’t a visual learner-get a professional or your favorite Mr./Mrs. Fix-It for help.

Easy to put together. Looks great. Its sturdy. It took me about 1.5-2 hours from start to finish by myself. The instructions were clear and I did not at any point feel like I needed someone else to assist me in the building of it. I do have toddlers though, so their little fingers have been smudging the gold up, but it wipes clean easily from their tiny fingerprints.
