I purchased the 13x15 and it arrived in 4 (heavy) boxes (that I had to help the Amazon driver carry)… everything was packed safely to ensure no damage. The only damage in noticed was one of the pillars had a crack going all the way down. I fixed it the day I assembled it. My son and I are both handy men and had it together and set up in about 6 hours. We love the look of it and are happy with the results. Had a couple major storms since and it hasn’t leaked and has held up nicely.

Our 13x15 pergola was shipped in 4 cartons. Each carton was pretty heavy especially the cartons holding the metal framing and metal roof sheets. All items were packed efficiently and protected as no damage was found. Instructions were mostly clear, I suggest reading thru each page to the end to identify installment points. The kit does come with extra assorted screws, bolts, nuts etc. I encountered an issue with understanding the proper layout of the roof frame, the two rows of framing 1 thru 4. There are 4 corner points where an 'L' bracket is attached to hold the roof to the wood framing. The instructions didn't mention these. I got lucky with 2 being correct. To fix the issue I predrilled two holes in the metal roof framing and installed the black metal screws that I purchased at Lowe's. It took me two days to build, about 12 total hours, and really wasn't that complicated. You will need another set of hands when building the wood framing. The rest was completed by me. I will suggest having a cordless drill and a hex driver available as opposed to using the allen-keys that came in the kit. This will save you tons of time! As it was sunny and hot during my build, I made a point to keep the black metal framing, brackets and roof sheets out of the sun as they will get very hot to the touch. All in all, it was a pretty easy build, and we love the pergola design and the finished look on our deck. I did also re-stain and seal the wood before building as we preferred a darker brown. The wood is a cheaper soft pine, I would've paid a little more for a better quality of wood. Now it's time to use and enjoy and I'm hoping that it lasts at least 10 years!!!

This is a great product and good quality. It is very sturdy and wasn't bad assembling but we are accustom to building things. If you are a beginner, the directions are a little confusing at first. I would highly recommend especially for the price. I was shorted 1 box on initial delivery and contacted seller and quickly got the final box. I am buying a 2nd one for my son's home.

Instructions pretty straight forward. The cost was good. Although I felt some of roof supports could have been made a little bigger for strength purposes, northeast snow and ice. But extra supports would be a quick fix. Overall good product. Pretty easy assembly and worth the cost.
