First Impressions: UPS came when promised, and they had to use a trolly to deliver, as it comes in one large heavy box. Even though the outside of the box appeared to be roughed up, the insides were perfect. This is a very well packed box with more than enough foam to protect the inside panels. We immediately unpacked the box to let the panels air out overnight, as many a reviewer complained about a bad smell. Well we did not notice any bad smell, just a light lacquer smell that any new furniture might have. I am extremely impressed in the quality of each panel given the price point, it is made of "hardwood solids" with a veneer covering according to the description, which is not real "solid wood", however, all panels are solid and thick, so once it is put together I believe it will be a solid functional piece of furniture. The only thin panels are the back and the inserts in the doors, however, the doors still feel very solid and all of these panels are wood, not cardboard. As the phrase goes, you get what you pay for, but for under $500 with free delivery, you are getting a very nice cabinet for that extra storage you need. I have gone to many an unfinished all wood furniture store, and have not been as impressed with the construction of similar furniture that cost several hundred more, if not more than double the price. Plus, that furniture is unfinished, so you still have to paint or stain it! So for the price, I do not see how you can beat this. The instructions are pretty bare, but if you have put these type of pieces together in the past, or are pretty handy, you should have no problems. The only gotcha is they say to level the cabinet in place once assembled. The level screws are only accessible from underneath, so I am going to try leveling the base piece prior to constructing the unit. Once assembled I am sure I will have to check the level again as it will obviously be much heavier and may change how it sits on the floor. The instructions do not want you to tighten the screws until the cabinet is leveled, which makes sense, so my fingers are crossed. Assembling the Cabinet: Putting it together is really a snap, everything fits together, everything lines up perfectly. As others have stated, the bottom, mid shelf and top piece are already put together for you and are very solid. One thing that I feel they NEED TO CHANGE, is these eight black screws that you put in last to help make the unit more rigid. The instructions say to make sure that the cabinet is level, by twisting those feet on the bottom of the unit, then put the screws in the back of the unit. HOWEVER, if you are planning on having the unit up against a wall, which I believe most people will do, you have to move it away from the wall to put these screws in the back of the cabinet. Hence the unit may not sit right once you push it back against the wall as these screws are tighten not where the unit will sit, throwing off the levelness of the cabinet panels. According to the instructions, these screws help make the cabinet more rigid. This is why the doors may not be level once you slide it back to the wall. (Many reviewers are complaining about the doors not being the same height when closed.) It would make much more sense for these screws to be put in place from the inside of the cabinet, so the cabinet would be in place where you want it to be. This will make sense to you once you start putting this cabinet together. Actually I am not sure which screws they do not want you to tighten. There are the eight screws that you put in the back of the unit, and the instructions clearly state to put them in last. There are also "Cam Lock Screws" which you have to tighten up when you screw them into the plastic mollies that are already in the wood panels. You can't leave these loose. The "Cam Locks" can be partially turned, however I believe they should be fully locked in place else the wooden panels could come apart, which could be dangerous. It took me just under two hours to assemble, it would have been quicker if it were not for the issue I had with these eight black screws and having to readjust/level the unit to make the doors level, see my photos. I am positive that most issues that other reviewers have complained about have to do with the proper leveling of this unit. To use these level screws once the unit is assembled you either have to tilt the cabinet or pry it up a bit with a crow bar (be careful not to mare your floor or the bottom of the cabinet), neither ideal, but doable. I had a couple of minor scratches on one of the panels, which I probably caused during assembly. The veneer stain is not too thick, so the "hardwood solid" was showing through my minor scratches. I used a furniture repair marker, Red Oak color (see photo of marker), and now I can not see where the scratch was. So that worked perfectly. I am happy with the cabinet, it is solid, and I am using it to hold heavy items, such as stoneware dishes. If you need an inexpensive, well built cabinet for extra storage, do not hesitate to purchase this item.

Very well built cabinet. Heavy, real wood, and holds stacks of heavy dishes well. Color is same as advertised. Would def buy again. Packaging: Takes at least 2 people to bring indoors...VERY heavy and large box. Packaged nicely with lots of styrofoam protection...cardboard box was damaged on the outside when received but because the cabinet was packaged so well inside, no damage to the cabinet and no parts lost. Assembly: Will need a phillips head screw driver, a small level, and rug/carpet to lay parts on and put together. All parts labeled alphabetically. For one person, it takes about 2 hours to assemble. May need help to attach the top of the cabinet (very heavy to lift above head alone). Instructions are easy to follow and assembly is not difficult. *** Small deviation from instructions: attach door knobs to doors prior to hanging. Neg: Description stated cabinet has drawers...it does not.

After reading a few reviews, mostly negative about doors not closing, I rolled the dice and ordered this piece. We needed more kitchen storage space and this appeared to be the best option (size/price/reviews). For all home assembly products, I glue all the screw/joints that I put together so it won't fall apart if moved a few times. This was a one person project. (I'm a 6' male). The cabinet is assembled in two sections. Bottom cabinet, then top cabinet. Instructions don't tell you how to do the top cabinet, but it's the same as the bottom. If you need step by step instructions, you may struggle with these, but the assembly is quite simple (6 steps). I disagreed with the assembly instructions because they wanted me to put the assembled parts on their side where the cabinet would look like the letter 'C' and the top part would not be supported. I didn't want to damaged the joint. Instead I did the 'L' part of the assembly, mounted it, then wiggled the 3rd side on. After completion of assembly, the top doors closed perfectly, but the bottom would not clasp (magnetic). I tested the magnets, then looked at how the doors met the magnets. It was clear, the magnetic clasps on the bottom part of the cabinet were mounted too far in (back) away from the doors. I unscrewed their 2 screws on each and moved them forward 1/4-1/2 cm, remounted, and they worked perfect! A 60 sec fix. The bottom right door hangs a little low, but it's not obvious, and I'm nitpicking to say it. In one section of our floor, it would rub on the bottom part of the cabinet. Since moving it to it's location, it no longer rubs. The adjustment to fix this would be minute so I'm deliberating if I'll change it. Either I will raise the hinge mounts a fraction, or I'll just put a washer 'shim' on the door pivot where the door hinge meets the cabinet hinge. Again, I'll probably not change it as it's not noticable. Color: As of the date of this review, the color in the picture matches what the cabinet looks like (without the bright light shined on it). It's a medium honey color, with an oak grain. It's not a serious oak striped grain like cabinets tend to be, nor is it a light oak color, but it does work with our light oak cabinets and is across the kitchen from them. If I had room and needed more storage, I'd buy another one for sure. I'm very pleased with this purchase. Distressing: Is mild, and looks natural. (doesn't look like it was shot with a nail gun or scratched) Again, I'm suprised at some of the reviews because this piece is both beautiful, solid, and functional. Oops!: So, I mentioned I glue all joints. I was out of Elmer's wood glue so I picked up some Gorilla glue from the wood glue section in Home Depot at 9:30pm because I wanted to do the project that night. What I bought was normal Gorilla glue instead of Gorilla wood glue. Normal Gorilla glue expands to 3-4 times it's normal size, so all my glue joints (which is all corners and panels) foamed all over the place. I tried wiping it, but it kept expanding. I went to bed, and spent most of the next day removing it with a razor blade, then touching up the piece with a repair kit from razor blade dings. Just a little fun for you at my expense. :)

Apartment living has me searching out every little bit of storage room and I decided I wanted to add a cabinet to my shelving options. I searched various types, settling on a pantry cabinet and this one in particular after a few weeks. The price was higher than I really wanted to spend, but it met my requirements, as well as fitting right into my current furniture styles/colors. The deciding factor was the thought of replacing one I did not like in a few years after having spent 2/3 the cost of this - or being happy with the one I got for just a bit more from the start. Delivery was Amazon's scheduled delivery (first time I've used that), on time - placing inside my entryway where I asked (thankful for that, it's heavy!). There was no damage to any piece and it was packed well. Putting it together really is a 2 person job - that said, I assembled solo (female without much strength but a huge 'can-do' attitude) taking breaks. All told, I had it together in 3 hours with many breaks for other life tasks (and dodging a curious dog) - had I just sat down to get it done it would've been an hour.. ish. Once I had the base cabinet built, I moved it to the area it resides, but a bit out from wall so I could access the back - moving it once fully assembled is actually easier than moving it in its box. My ONLY complaint: the build did not fully align well in the lower right hand corner of the upper cabinet, there is a bit of a gap - yet everything shows level. It bugs me, but I can't see it (I simply know its there). This may be my build/lack of strength to push it together, and not an actual issue (everything else is nice and flush) and does not appear to effect the integrity. There is no wobble in this cabinet, it feels like higher end quality - not home assembled. I was happy that the door hardware was already installed, no worries about alignment as you get with Ikea (not insulting Ikea.. just noting it's a step above in the flat pack market). The magnetic catch on the doors is a nice addition, each door opens/closes without issue/smoothly. And it smells like stained wood should. The storage capacity is as expected per the measurements (it's actually wider than I thought - but that was my spacial expectation, measures accurately. It feels larger than it actually is to me (not a pro or a con, just an observation). I gave 4 stars as I felt some of the instructions were a bit out of order (I listened to another purchaser that placed the knobs on prior to door in place.. glad I did), and that bit of a gap. I would give 4.5 if I could. I would recommend, and I would buy again. It's really quite pretty (which storage often isn't) and to have 2 adjustable shelves in both top and bottom as well as center separator/shelf, makes organizing/storing odd sides easy.

I just received and finished the assembly of the pantry. This really is a very nice piece of furniture, it exceeds my expectations for $400.00 USD. When I opened the door and saw it had been delivered my first thought was "Holy cow! They shipped it in a single box!" My second thought was "I wonder what the carrier person is thinking right now." That box weighs in at around 130lbs. It must be close to the limit they can carry. The condition of the box was poor. Lots of extra tape and holes and tears in the cardboard. Once I had it in and opened it up I found the contents in great shape. The box is heavy cardboard and lined on all sides with 2" of styrofoam. I'm not a huge fan of the stuff for both the disposal hassle and environmental concerns but it did its job. The pantry is comprised of 25 wooden pieces and various cam locks and other hardware. Assembly is quite easy and the instructions are easy to follow. Upon completion I noticed that the manufacturer had included one extra of each of the hardware items, one cam lock, one cam lock stud, one shelf peg, and one wood screw; nice that. The wood is beautiful and appears to be made from good stock. I was a bit nervous of the term "hardwood solids" and did not find a definitive answer to what it included. I'm still not sure what every piece is made of but I did notice grain on some of the pieces where they mate up with others. This indicates that these specific pieces are indeed solid wood with a veneer overlay. The pantry does have a strong odor of wood stain as others have mentioned. For me it's not a big deal. I'll leave the cabinets open until it has a chance to out gas. A few others have mentioned issues with the doors not closing properly and point to the hinges as the issue. In my case the doors work perfectly. during the assembly process, prior to the top plates and magnetic stops being installed I mounted the doors in order to see how far they would close. In all four cases the doors where able to travel far beyond the point where they would contact the stop. Not sure what the boggle was in the cases where there was an issue. To sum up; I'm very pleased with the pantry. Packaged well and easy to assemble, even solo. It looks very nice and will serve its purpose nicely.

It arrived in a single box, and I put it together on the front walkway. 😂 If you are good with putting together cam furniture, this is a good piece. It is solid and it is wood. The top and bottom come already completely assembled so it’s just screwing the cam screws and putting in the cams and then piecing it together. It worked perfect for the space I have it in!

I received this cabnet right on time and it was packed extremely well, and the out side of the box was in very good condition. The box was very heavy, so the UPS driver had to roll it up 3 steps to my front door and I did the same to get it in to the house. I opened it up immediately to check all it's contents. All the pieces were there, I even received a few extra pieces of hardware. I checked everything over and one of the side panels had a crack from where they screwed in a henge for the door. I called the 1-800 # that was in the guide that was sent with the cabinet. The man that I talked to was very pleasant and said they would send a replacement part with in 2 to 3 business day. I received the part right on schedule. The cabnet was fairly easy to put together and the instructions were well written. The only problem I had was trying to screw the cam lock screws in to the pre drilled holes, they were a very tight fit, so I had to recruit my husband for a couple of the screws. Over all, the cabnet went together fairly easy. I also had to have help putting the top on because it's pretty heavy. I think the cabnet turned out beautiful, but it does shift a little when you try to move it, I went back to make sure everything was nice and tight and it didn't seem to make any difference. I'm using this as a built in, in my bathroom; so it won't be moved around at all. If I had it to do over, I would probably use wood glue to put it together and I may take it apart and do that anyway if I have any trouble with it when I have to move it in to it's forever home, but that's not a deal breaker for me, just a little hiccup. Overall, I would recommend buying this cabnet as long as you are patient and take your time, it's a very nice piece.

This my third one of this cabinet. It’s great for my needs. BUT… it arrived Thursday to the distribution center but was not delivered until Tuesday. The shipping box was destroyed!! I think it was not delivered until the box was put back together so it could be delivered. Pics below. Must give a shout out to UPS delivery driver who carried it into the house and up the steps. Have no unpacked the box yet so I don’t know if it’s damaged. I will update if there is damage. Makes me sad. Love this cabinet. We got a replacement. The box was in great condition. Assembled as expected. Absolutely love this piece. This is my third one. If I had room, I’d buy another one.
