A contractor did the install, but I doubt he "set it up" as far as adjusting it --- I'm reasonably sure it worked as-is out of the box (the valving and flapper assembly are preinstalled). Even with some solids or tp the 1 gallon flush works flawlessly. It refills quickly, and quietly and lifting the top there is a fairly large difference between which cycle you invoke. I'd say 4" on 1 gal. side, maybe 7" or slightly more for 1.28. It doesn't completely empty the tank but maybe it would if I had held the button down longer. As to value for the money, it wasn't all that long ago toilets went for $80, so I can't say it's economical, but there were a lot of choices, many of them more than what we spent for this one, that had lower ratings. It's also got a 5 year warranty, which seems quite good in this day and age. It replaced a late 1970's toilet that had the round bowl with an elongated bidet seat --- now it's a much better mate-up room-wise. ... show more

Have wanted a 2 way toilet since I first saw one ten years ago. So far so good with this one. This toilet uses a fraction of the water of your old commode, and does a better job of it to boot. I love the choice of flush modes. Installed it myself in 1 1/2 hours.

I recently purchased two of those to replace my 20 year old toilets. One toilet bowl has a crack, I had to replace it. When the UPS guy came to pick up, he told me he only got one ticket, so he could only pick up one box. But the whole set comes in two boxes!!! That is not the end of the story, after I received the replacement set, and installed it, I found the top flush button is not working correctly. At this point, I can not remove the installed one and send it back! Damn! ... show more

It was broken and it took another week to get the bowl then the installer found a hairline crack in the tank so I am waiting on the tank to arrive

DOES NOT COME WITH A SEAT - Which I found very annoying. Most other units (ie, Toto) tell you straight off that it does not come with a seat. This unit's pictures show the whole thing, and nowhere in the ad does it specify "no seat." And good luck finding an elongated, slow-closing seat quickly. They appear to be just about sold out everywhere. Good looking unit though. Tank is smaller in real-life, which is a plus. It flushes fairly well, though I've had difficulty adjusting the screws that "push" the mechanism in the tank. Too much and it puts just enough pressure on the flush mechanism that it drains slightly, but constantly (so you'll hear it refilling about every 20 minutes), or too little and you have to hold the button down slightly longer than you would with a traditional push handle. If you're installing it yourself, it's very likely whatever bolts you use to attach it to the floor flange, will need to be shortened (read: hacksawed off), or you could just buy shorter ones. Usually though, longer bolts that can be cut, are what you get with a wax ring kit, so just be prepared. ... show more
