This kit is great and in my opinion the best looking and fitting option out there for adding a double din to a 3rd gen Ram truck. No, the harness that came with it did not work- but I knew it wouldn't. If you have the base model non amplified radio in your truck then the supplied harness will work. BUT if you have Nav or the ampified Infinity system like I do you will need a smart canbus interface to retain amplifier function and steering wheel controls. I used the PAC CH1A-RSX also from Amazon. Needing a Canbus interface for late model Chrysler vehicles is common knowledge and no reason to post negative reviews. For the price of this kit how can anyone complain? It fits perfectly, installs very easily and solid with the supplied cutout template, matches the other matte black trim pieces in the truck exactly and even retains the little storage pocket below the radio unlike most other kits. This dash kit turned out great in my 2007 ram 2500. You do have to cut/modify your factory bezel so you really need to take your time and check fit, cut, check fit, cut, etc. to get good fitment but it will turn out great. It is black, so I bought a used black radio bezel piece off ebay so it'd match better and couldn't be happier. I used a PAC C2R-CHY4 Radio Replacement Interface instead of the harness supplied with this kit as I read this is what's needed and this worked out perfect for me, no issues. I like the tray even though it's small, my phone fits perfectly in there. As you can see in the pics I eliminated the lower tray for a swtich panel I made so really wanted to keep the upper tray. ... show more

Good product stereo fit was perfect 12v power on plug adapter did not match my 2006 Dodge Ram I had to move it 1 space left

I bought a double din unit on Amazon. This kit did not fit without some serious trimming down with a Dremel. The harness is garbage too and did not work. Not recommended.

UPDATE: I increased from 1 star to 3 simply because the supplier was kind and quickly refunded me when I emailed about the product not working. I do hope the kit works for you, however it did not for me at all. Verified multiple times it would work for my vehicle. I have a 2006 Dodge 1500. An hour into trimming and still will not fit the double din I ordered. Haven't gotten to the template to trim that yet, will update my comment further into the process and hopefully be happier with my purchase. I love that it came with the harness (however I can't say if it works yet this early in the process) ... show more

Comes with a clip on template for cutting factory panel. Very easy using a dremmel or multi tool. A hacksaw would work also. Looks like it came from factory. Clips into the factory panel very snuggly.

    • Be careful with the old dash plastics
The kit is high quality but because you have to snap it in, be very careful because I cracked my dodge center console piece snapping the new piece in. Not this vendors fault but something to be aware of.
