  • The Greatest Price/Performance CPU of 2025!
Style: Processor
Best processor of 2025 for price/performance. The performance is almost unmatched and nearly top of the line with AMD. Plenty of cores and stays on par with Intels many cores. Very easy to install if you have your motherboard CPU installation plastic bracket. Feels durable enough that you could install without the motherboard plastic protector, but would always recommend using motherboard CPU installation protector. Excellent stability as well, this CPU runs at lower temps than my Ryzen 7 7800X3D while pushing more performance and power. This processor will go down in history for the year 2025! ... show more

  • Incredible performance
Style: Processor
The AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D is an absolute powerhouse. The moment I installed it, the jump in speed and smoothness was obvious. Games run unbelievably well, multitasking feels effortless, and the overall responsiveness of my system is on another level. Temps stayed under control, and setup was completely hassle-free. For anyone building or upgrading a PC, this chip delivers amazing performance with zero fuss. Truly one of the best upgrades I’ve made! ... show more

  • Should you upgrade from 7800X3D to 9800X3D?
Style: Processor
I have been tempted to upgrade from my 7800x3d since the release of the 9800x3d but held back. I have looked at reviews and also feedbacks from people who made the upgrade and they all were pretty mixed, a lot of people say it isn't worth it. Well I made the plunge today and bought the 9800x3d to replace my 7800x3d. I am getting this out of the way in terms of gaming: average fps won't be much of a difference from the 7800x3d since I play at high ultrawide 3840x1600 resolution. But, I did run some benchmarks before and after and saw a bit better performance on average and a good lift in the 1%/0.1% lows which improved game play smoothness. The best thing about the 9800x3d is the performance and thermals after undervolting it. This is a must. It is only a few clicks in bios in the PBO settings. Anybody can do it and should do it. Better temps, lower power usage, and more performance for free! Google it. My 7800x3d was also undervolted but it didn't make a big difference like the 9800x3d. This 9800x3d undervolted has improved efficiency and massively improved thermals. High 40 degrees C in gaming and low 60s degree C stress test. My undervolted 7800x3d was in the high 50 - 60s C gaming and high 70s- 80 C stress test. Same 360mm Arctic AIO cooler/setup. Much cooler and just as efficient as my undervolted 7800x3d. Even if it isn't much of an improvement in average FPS at high resolution gaming...the temps and efficiency as well as the improvement in single and multithread scores makes the upgrade worth it. An issue that I had with the 7800x3d and also my previous AM4 CPUs is that the CPU would spike up in temps when I do something like opening a software or watching a youtube video. The CPU fans would spin up which can be annoying, but the 9800x3d solved that. No more spiking temps so my CPU fans stay constant while doing casual things. I highly recommend this if you have a 7800x3d and is on the fence. I had to try it for myself because the mixed advice from people online about whether or not the 9800x3d would be an upgrade from the 7800x3d was driving me nuts. To me it was worth the upgrade and I should have done it sooner...but hey at least I saved $80 off MSRP for waiting too long. ... show more

  • Big ripper
Style: Processor
This thing’s a monster. I came from the AM4 chips, & didn’t expect this to be so small. Had a 3700x for ages, then a 5950x prior. Coming from a gaming perspective, it’s comparatively night & day. The average 1% lows are much better, fps is much higher, & latency is way lower. Just a very consistent & solid chip. I have an AIO & it keeps it very cool; I don’t experience any of the overheating claims I’d heard of. Side note: I think most people are cpu bottlenecked more often than they realize. A lot of gamers own a decent enough gpu to run most games competitively. But some people don’t correlate a processor to having such an impact on gaming performance. (If you have a 3060 or better & your gpu usage isn’t maxed out during gaming [& you have adequate RAM], you are most likely cpu bottlenecked.) ... show more

  • Increased my FPS DRASTICALLYwith a 4090.
Style: Processor
Monster of a cpu for games. I mantain a solid 300fps at 1440p in apex legends with a 4090. I had the Ryzen 9 7950x cpu before and it was holding the 4090 back ALOT (even though bottleneck calculators saw no bottleneck) I just new i wasnt getting the right performance for my specs, I would often drop to around 180fps during fights but this cpu fixed all my issues. Reccomend for very solid performance with high end GPU's! ... show more

  • The Best Processor, Ever
Style: Processor
Hands down the processor I've ever owned. It's stable, runs cool and is more powerful than anything in the history of personal computing. An absolute, solar system consuming, powerhouse that I really can't stress doesn't throw off constant WHEA errors like my last Intel processor. Installation was super easy. Bios required a couple of updates to add compatibility, but it was functional without them. (Go Asus!) It does have a rather unique processor firmware installation. But it worked well, and has since worked at least once to perform an update. The end result? It's hard to say, but I imagine Odin feels like this a lot. ... show more
