Been eying this CPU for a long time and I'm very happy I settled on buying it finally. Works exactly as you'd expect, plays every esports title I've thrown at it with 200+ FPS and productivity/multithreaded applications I've used, while light workloads, work perfectly smooth as well. Zero issues so far. Gaming + streaming works perfectly with no performance hit whatsoever. Haven't tried editing with it, though. For someone who has only ever had low end computers, this is lightning fast and I couldn't be happier. My main complaints actually come from the included cooler; the instructions for installation don't give you 100% of the info you need to install it smoothly. I ended up having to take off the cooler from the CPU multiple times while trying to get the screws on because you can't just twist all 4 screws in 100% of the way at first. You have to twist all the screws in very lightly to get them all level, and then finish screwing them in after that, otherwise the cooler will be leaning too far in for the screws you haven't gotten to yet won't make contact with the motherboard. This might be obvious for experienced builders, but for a first time builder it's definitely not and isn't clearly stated in the instructions. Would have been nice to know, because making a mistake like that requires me to reapply my own thermal paste which is a hassle. Overall very happy with my purchase. Couldn't recommend it enough.

Good cpu for mid/entry level gaming. Can support high end gaming briefly, but not meant for long term use. Definitely worth upgrading from this cpu - but it will get the job done regardless as it punches well above its weight. Performs best with aftermarket cooling.

The AMD Ryzen 5 3600 is hands down one of the best processors for its price range. With 6 cores and 12 threads, it handles everything I throw at it with ease, from gaming to productivity tasks like video editing and 3D rendering. The Zen 2 architecture provides excellent performance per watt, and I’ve noticed significant improvements in both speed and efficiency compared to my older CPU. Even under load, the included Wraith Stealth cooler does a good job of keeping temperatures in check, and it runs relatively quietly, though you could always upgrade to a more robust cooler if you're planning to overclock. It does what it's supposed to. The box factory seal was intact and not tampered with, never been opened, which I was concerned about getting an older cpu. Booted right up and has been running perfectly for two days now. This was an upgrade for my wifes computer that had a Ryzen 5 1600AF in it. It doesn't come quite close to matching the performance of my Ryzen 7 3700X though, but close enough. Bad thing is, now I had to get a better graphics card to go with it, her 5700xt subpar now.

When I bought this processor in 2020 it was a great budget option. Now though there are other options considering this processor is on a dead platform so there is no new option to upgrade to. Though if you are in the market for a low end budget pc maybe for kids or whatever your needs may be then I think this processor is an ok buy for $75. Amazon wants me to talk about the processors capabilities and speed so I’ll give a quick rundown. This product has 6 cores and 12 threads and is made from the zen 2 architecture. In this day and age the product isn’t very fast relatively speaking, However I would recommend someone to watch the YouTube channel Hardware Unboxed to get a better idea of this processors full capabilities.

I believe this is the best value AM4 CPU available. I game a lot (FPS) and this CPU handles everything I throw at it. owned and sold a 5600X, the 3600 does it all with less heat. A lot of hype about "gaming processors" and did you notice they want to sell you a Cadillac when a plain Jane Chevy is just fine.
