Edit: I added images of some of screws used when you open up the lid. For a device that wasn’t purchased as used or refurbished, I can’t understand how these screws are rusted. I would hope Amazon finds a new manufacturer for its shredders than whoever they currently use because whatever they are doing isn’t the best. Shreds great, but this is the second unit in a row that’s had some sort of manufacturing defect. The first unit when I inspected it I noticed some shredded paper already in it and when I took out the bin broken pieces of plastic from some component of the unit fell into the bin. The undercarriage of the rubber rollers seems loose like the screws aren’t in tight and a piece of it is also chipped off. I’ve oiled it many times, wiped the sensor, and taken tweezers to get small, non-jamming scraps from the blades and still the feed error light comes on. Since I still had the box I was able to return it. I get a refund and reorder another. Then more recently I noticed that after it auto-runs and shuts off, whether I shred something or not, the feed error light comes on. Problem is I don’t have the box and don’t know how to ship it back with it and the protector materials since it’s so heavy. The local Asurion shop apparently only deals with computers and laptops so I can’t drive it there (I have the extended warranty). They would want me to ship it to them if I make a claim through them. So IF you buy this product then keep the box. Tuck it away in then garage or basement. But keep the box or else you’ll be in some never ending loop like I am trying to get a resolution. Another review made note of the same problem and said a piece broke off. The manufacturer must not have done good with quality assurance. I don’t know how this is going to get resolved. I had an old 10 page shredder for about 7 years before I was having issues with it. This is the 2nd unit within two months and both have had issues out of the box. Literally.

This shredder is amazing. I am very happy with it. I go through all of my paperwork and sort it out and then shred. I have shredded 20 boxes and no problem whatsoever.

This product looks very nice and seems like a great buy. However, it is not. The product will break easily when shredding. This is due to a design flaw. In the gear box, there is plastic which when it becomes strained it snaps and will no longer turn the blades thus rendering the shredder useless. It is not worth it at all and is a huge waste of money.

This heavy duty shredder is very compact and it looks nice. The rollers make it easy to use anywhere. It comes with great instructions, and it's very easy to use.

After having many smaller shredders that overheat and fail, I’ve been very happy with this unit during many months of heavy use. Also bought the lubrication sheets which help.

It works good for the most part but does jam up so you have to open it and fix the jam before it starts to work again
