It appears durable, feels good to the touch, wakes and sleeps Kindle better than my old one. I like the blue color of the “denim”. I am very pleased. It feels kind of hard to the touch but the pebbled surface prevents it being slippery. Very easy to see/read in any light. Hard to hold (very thin) without a case which is not inexpensive. Menu display and movement not as easy as my old original Kindle. I do not like having my books displayed as cover art vs. a simple list which is easier to read and can accommodate more per page. Somewhat harder to view titles in the store. ... show more

I originally bought the denim Kindle Paperwhite with the black cover as a bundle. That cover was a bit of a mistake, because the lining of my bag is nearly the same shade of black and the Kindle turned into a ninja. This one is easier to spot, and it matches nicely. The texture is nice on this cover. It feels good in the hand. It doesn't add much bulk to the device, while being suitable protective for my needs. This means there are no pouches, no pen loops, no storage of any kind. I think there are covers that offerthose, with a tradeoff of increased bulk if that's what you're looking for. It handles the sleep function perfectly well. I can charge the device on the cradle while in this case with no problem. And it's beautiful. ... show more

Well made with decent quality leather of perfect thickness. Provides good protection for your reader. You bought the best reader, protect it with the best case. The leather wraps around a plastic case which holds the reader. The leather alone would be too floppy. The front of the case folds to the back to allow for holding the reader as if it didn't have a case. I love it! Yes the "leather" feels like plastic but it is textured so it is easy to hold an grasp. I ordered blue but recieved maroon. I thought there would be a notice or something, but...no!
