We went to 3 countries in Europe in 2019, flying on 4 different airlines. Before leaving, I was concerned to have a piece of luggage that would not only travel the airlines well, but would fit in the smaller European cars/taxis. The Spinner was sturdy and withstood the trip well without tearing, breaking, etc. It returned in as good condition as when it left. It was very easy to maneuver; I love the spinner wheels. The adjustable handle was a good height and was easy to operate. I especially loved the handle at the bottom of the case. Someone was a genius for engineering that. Why, you wonder? When you pick the suitcase up to lay flat on the bed, or put in a trunk, or any sort of handling, you grip the non-adjustable handle at the top with one hand and then grab on to the handle at the bottom of the suitcase for complete balanced control. Loved it! The case is not heavy and fit well in cars and on the stands in the smaller European hotel rooms. In the past, I hated traveling leaving my case unlocked, so I felt much better having the TSA locks. I saw the info online on how to set the lock before I ordered it, and I was happy to see those instructions included with my suitcase when it arrived. I packed a week's worth of clothes in my 25", washing once at each hotel, and was able to pack some small souvenirs for the return trip. I'm very happy with the suitcase and have absolutely nothing negative to say. After our return, I used it for a stateside trip the following month with just as good results. One caveat: This says it is an expandable case. Placed horizontally, there is a zipper around the top to expand the case, but it essentially gives you an extra 1" to 1.5" height at the zipper, but not through the center. I was going to take a photo but there's no way to show it.

I travel for work every other week if not more and have my travel items down to a science. Typically, I take my regular sized Travelpro carry on or my eBags TLS Hybrid spinner but traveling as often as I do, the smaller the better and less is definitely more. So, in search of an even smaller carry on, I ordered the Amazon Basics 18” Spinner and the Travelpro Walkabout 3 19" International Expandable Carry On Spinner to compare (see pics). The Amazon Basics 18” is slightly smaller but fits just as much stuff as the Travelpro 19”, it has smoother zippers, it’s easier to maneuver, it has double wheels for stability, much better internal organization, it’s half the price (Amazon Basics $54.99, Travelpro - $98.99) and all around the Amazon Basics feels better and lighter when filled with the same exact load. I was able to fit enough carefully selected items for a Mon-Fri business trip: work shoes, thin slippers, blow up pillow and pillow case for the sleepless hotel nights when the pillows feel like bricks, quick dry micro fleece travel towel which doubles as a blanket for those nights on uncomfortable hotel couches when you just wish you had a nice blanket while watching TV, water pick, 3 business pants, 3 sleeveless business tops, 1 suit jacket, 1 business lightweight cardigan, underwear for 5 days, pajamas, 2 t-shirts, 1 lightweight sweatpants, jewelry, mirror, portable speaker, lightweight water repellant jacket, and travel wipes. Toiletries did not fit so I’ll carry them in my laptop bag along with a lightweight zip-up jacket, umbrella, snacks, portfolio, documents, chargers, mouse, laptop, receipt pouch, and crossbody purse which fits in the laptop bag.

The wheels are great. The bag is super spacious. It can fit under the seat of some US carriers depending on which seat you're in. I have used it for trips up to 7 days and still able to buy things to put inside. It's been about 9 months and the handle just started acting wonky. I managed to get it back it but a screw fell out...I like it and it is affordable to where I would repurchase I just hoped it lasted more than a year before messing up.

We got 4 of these suitcases so each of our kids (ages 3-12) could have their own when we go on trips. We searched high and low for cases that provide good value, come in multiple colors (so each child could have a different color), and are lightweight and easy to maneuver while also being sturdy enough to hold up well to the abuse our kids would inflict on them. These suitcases do all of that. Our kids love them and they have held up well over several trips over the last year. We did humorously discover that the lock can be more annoying than useful, however, when our 3 year old managed to change the combo and couldn’t remember what she changed it to. After about 15 minutes of trying each combination starting at 000, we found the right one and were able to unlock it and reset the combo. Gotta love little kids. They keep life exciting. Fortunately these suitcases also keep our kids excited when we travel.
