I like this a lot, it was what I was looking for as far as I'm so over everything you buy these days is cropped. Cropped styles are great, but are kind of getting old for some things in my opinion. The jacket is big as far as how it fits. I am 5'8" about 180 and I wish I would have got a medium, I got a large. The large is big and roomy enough that I could even wear ear a thick hoodie under it if I wanted to. However, the length is good as what I was looking for. The upper arms are large. However, this is a great quality denim jacket. Nice and thick, sturdy material (which I wanted). It's also at a great, competitive low price even if it's not on sale. Don't believe me, go ahead and search jean jackets. You'll see a ton, but I looked too and the quality did not look as good as this and plus the other jackets were a lot more for a lot less. If you're looking for a longer jean jacket, I highly recommend this. I'd say just think seriously about sizing down 1... even maybe 2 sizes. I would have gotten an XL before I read the other reviews. They recommended to size down, and after getting my jacket I could have sized down to a medium. I'm still happy with it and this is a jacket that is stitched well and will last a very long time. Love the weight and color of this jacket. High quality. Not sure if I'm keeping it. I bought an XL but it is a little too large. It is 100% cotton. Will it shrink? I weigh 186lbs/5' tall. I'm not sure what to do! Keep or return? Hmmm.

    • Missing Star for horrid, strong perfume smell

Quality/workmanship appears to be good, fit was as expected, sleeve length OK, ecru color was true to picture, but it reeked of strong perfume! 1 – washed using Nellies detergent had zero affect. 2 – washed using baking soda had minimal success. 3, 4 & 5 – washed or soaked in vinegar and/or baking soda reduced overall smell considerably, except pockets. 6 - Soaked in baking soda overnight and finally, very little perfume smell remains in the upper and side pockets. Since I have COPD, I cannot tolerate the smell of perfume in my clothes. I have recently bought denim jackets from two other Amazon vendors (Omoone and Shewin) both of which had zero smell of any kind. The missing star goes to me for perseverance. ... show more

Have searched high and low for the on-trend "oversized/relaxed fit" denim jacket. I'm 5'2" and 117 lbs, so it's been hard to find something not so overly huge that looks ridiculous. In the photos I'm wearing X-Small. The shoulders drop about 2 inches over the arms. The sleeves are large and roomy, but look good a few different rolled/pushed up ways. Good length, hits between lower hip and upper thigh. Would work really great with leggings if you want your butt mostly covered. Nice denim fabric - no stretch, thick but soft. Has that vintage washed, already-broken-in feel to it. Warm enough for Texas weather, would fit easily over a thick sweatshirt or sweater. Pop the collar for that 1990 vibe! Impossible to unbutton. Buttonholes are smaller than buttons. Really. I washed garment before wearing (as instructed), hoping the buttonholes would soften. Nope. Pliers were required to unbutton garment. Fabric did not soften either. Drop shoulder design causes stiff arm fabric to puff out like that puffy tire mascot. Not a good look.
