I have to admit these have worked quite admirably. I bought them to use on a unique moose hunt, that mountain bikes were able to be utilized. Essentially hunting for about 30 days, loading into and out of a truck & opening and closing the bags constantly to get things. My friend had Ortlieb panniers and I think the two complaints I would have about these Thule(s) as compared to his, is that the Thule “handle” to pull them from the bike is a thin string with a tube surrounding it... granted the string seems quite strong and has held up… it just seems cheap. In addition my other long term concern is that Ortlieb hanger parts are much more readily available for replacements and the Thule parts seem non-existent. Overall though I trust the Thule bags and they operate like standard “dry bags”. I used them extensively and they were exposed to even sub freezing temperatures, and while the rubber did stiffen in the cold it didn’t crack upon rolling it. For the price I would buy again, but I think those couple features I mentioned could be improved on. ... show more

I've seen reviews saying the clips pop off- yet to experience that myself. First ride w them and it was raining and it kept everything dry. Main reason why I got these so very satisfied. I just wish the clips could expand and the loops weren't plastic. No major issue.
