This vest is well made. It is very light and packable. Would be a great underlayer. The dark blue is neutral. The armholes are roomy without being huge. Unfortunately, the vest is a boxier shape than it appears in the pictures. As a result, the torso was too big on me. Looked like I was wearing a grocery sack. I bought an XL so I could wear a sweater under the vest. I can tell from the fit the L (my usual size) would still have the wrong shape and be too snug. I have an average build, 5'6".
