It feels warm, the hood is comfortable & this olive color is really nice. I am contemplating getting one for myself even though I have SO MANY coats. (Winter is awful—cold, dark—cheer it up with lots of coats to compliment each outfit!) I can’t speak for how well it holds up because I haven’t even given it to mom yet, but it seems durable enough. The price is fantastic so if you are on the fence on this, just try it!

I like this coat in a lot of ways. It’s warm, comfortable and a good length. Fits well true to size. My complaint is with the zipper. I did read multiple reviews and realized this was an issue but I thought surely with all the feedback this would have been fixed by now. I was wrong. It takes me about 3 minutes of fiddling to get the zipper lined up to work correctly. The pocket zippers are not great either. If they could just fix these issues it would be awesome.

Love the jacket, it's nicely made, light weight and warm. The pouch they provide to pack it into is TOO SMALL. I tried for an hour, watched videos, then spent another 3 hours with my husband and no go. If they'd made it 2 inches bigger it would work. We finally gave up and put it into a 1 gallon ziplock (unzipped). FYI we tried folding it in thirds and quarters before rolling. Also we tried first turning the sleeves inside out so they'd be inside and putting the hood inside with both of us compressing the jacket and rolling it tightly compressing as we went. NOTHING WORKED!!! It shouldn't be that difficult. My husband purchased a different packable parka and it packed into the accompanying pouch without difficulty. His pouch was about 2 inches larger than the one that came with my jacket.

After a couple of tries, it works! I ordered my usual Medium but the waist was too tapered for me. The large, well, I’m short, so the waist hit my hips and the whole thing rode up. I ordered an XL so I could layer a fleece, and the XL skimmed over everything. Success! I definitely appreciate Amazon’s easy return policy. The coat now comes nearly to my knees and I’ve got a bit of a Michelin Man thing going, but I love the packability, weight and warmth. The double zipper was important to me; it works great, just make sure it clicks in. I will also sew the bottom of the pockets to make two interior pockets. I’m happy!

I love this coat so much I ordered it twice! First as a try-before-you-buy where I auditioned several options for keeping this Cali girl warm in the PNW. It was indeed warm and lightweight, but it had a fussy zipper and I opted for a different option. But almost a year later I couldn’t stop thinking about it, so I bought it again and am so happy with it. Better zipper this time, it keeps me warm but never overheated, in a nice shade of green that’s neutral but not drab. Good quality for the price!
