Got exactly what I was looking for in a puffer jacket. True to size, very comfortable and quite warm, good quality material seems to have been used, albeit may change over time/usage. One of my biggest pro was the fact that even in 40 degrees plus taking a mile long walk it did not overheat me and seemed to keep a comfortable temperature, which I have not seen my other jackets do. Not really sure why the description says heavyweight or what it is trying to reference, but the jacket itself is very light in weight and will be easy to travel with. All in all a great buy, will be looking forward to testing it out in par 25 degree temps. Amazon Essentials has not disappointed me thus far with any of their products.

This is a great coat for a cheap price! My husband struggles to find coats that fit him because he is tall (6', 200lbs) and has long arms. We purchased numerous name brands and had to return them because the arms were too short. I bought him the XL of this coat and it fit him perfectly! We live in New England and he wore it this winter during 10 degree nights and he felt really warm. He was also able to fit a hooded sweatshirt underneath with no problem. Definitely recommend if you don't want to spend $200+ for a name brand warm winter jacket.

Very good product, ESPECIALLY for it's price. I wouldn't think twice about buying this again. Fits very well and is pretty warm. It's obviously not sub zero warm but for the majority of winters it's perfect. Maybe throw a sweater on under it if it's very cold, but you can usually get away with just a shirt. My only real complaint is that the inner pocket is practically impossible to reach if you have it buttoned and zipped up, but really that's just a nitpick. Easy recommendation.

This is a great jacket for the price. Zipper is sturdy and cuffs are snug to keep out the wind. Calling it heavyweight is fine -- but it's not as bulky and heavy as my 23-year old parka (which is still in decent shape), for example. So, I'd say it provides a lot of warmth for its weight. The handwarmer pockets are big enough for a heavy glove, and the interior pocket has a velcro closure to secure your phone or wallet. The hood is well shaped: it lays down nicely when not in use, and you can mold around your head -- I don't miss having a draw-cord. It seems pretty secure in the wind as long as you angle it properly. The fleece lining keeps my head warm when I'm not wearing a knit cap. Fit: I'm 42 chest, and I bought a medium. I still have room to wear a heavy sweatshirt or sweater under this coat. I have to say that in temperatures from the mid-20s to high 30s, I don't really need a heavy layer underneath. Wind resistance is very good. Just started trying Amazon Essentials clothing in the last 8 months, and have been quite satisfied, so far. This piece seems like another good value, as long as it proves to be durable.

I get cold really easy and this jacket is great if you want a warm one. I'm 5'10" and weigh 135lbs and the small fits me well. It has fleece lined pockets and a fleece lined hood. It has a good quality YKK zipper. The coat snaps shut in addition to zippering shut. It has elastic around the wrists for a nice tight fit that won't allow breezes to flow up your arm. There a fleece-line inside pocket about chest high big enough for a cell phone or wallet. It has a velcro enclosure. I was at my daughter's basketball tournament in an unheated gym when I got notification that it arrived. I was pretty cold despite wearing some layers. The next day of the tournament I wore this new jacket and was plenty warm. I had to take it off at one point because I was a little too warm. UPDATE: I'll be looking for this to go on sale again. At Christmas Eve service tonight our pastor said a homeless gentleman was outside the church shivering when she got there. They brought him in and let him sleep in our youth room during our service. It was cold outside so I wore this coat to church. I decided he needed the coat much more than I did and gave it to him. I expect it will serve him well and keep him nice and warm!

I love the way this coat looks. The color matches the pictures exactly. The fleece-lined hood is warm and comfortable. The way the knit sleeve cuffs sit inside the polyester puffer part of the sleeve makes it perfect for wearing with gloves and keeping your wrists warm. I also love that the pockets have a zipper closure. This is great for keeping my phone safe while walking my dog, playing outside with my young child, or snowblowing the driveway. Even though it is light (doesn't weigh much) it's very warm and blocks the wind well.

Overall, an excellent winter coat. Fit is true and generous, it's warm and not too "puffy," but just bulky enough. However, the outer shell is in no way "water resistant." That was an important feature for me, as we live in an environment with rain and at-times deep snows. I just came in from wearing it after a moderate snow, with the melting snow dropping down on me - and the coat. And water just immediately absorbs into the shell with NO resistance at all. Consequently, and when I've worn it in only a mild drizzle: the coat attracts water like a sponge. NOT resistant to it at all. After even only a brief sojourn outside, the coat becomes soaked, and has to be hung by the fireplace to dry out until the next day. Again, an important selling point for me was the "water resistant shell" - but it's not at all so. I'll keep the coat for non-precipitation use, but will have to buy ANOTHER coat which truly IS "water resistant" as this one ain't.
