These chairs are worth double what Amazon charges for them, they are very good quality, the only downside is that the tractor seat has the bump in the middle that really, really hurts when you sit on it. I've had mine for a week now and am returning it because it hurts so much.

Surprising quality for the price. The wood is a little lighter than pictured, but is a nice neutral that doesnt clash with different wood tones in our house. The legs are sturdy and wobble-free, and even though they seem a bit top-heavy, they aren't tippy at all. Assembly was easy. They are a good height for sitting at a regular kitchen counter, they are not bar-height stools, which was exactly what I needed. I gave them 4 stars only because I bought two, and they each seem to have a slightly different grain and finish to the wood, so they dont look quite as uniform as I had hoped. Also, because of the contoured shape of the seat, you have to sit on them a certain way for them to feel comfortable on the bum.

I was going for looks more than comfort with these, but they're actually comfortable. I though wooden stools would be uncomfortable, but these have basically butt indebtments on the seat which make a big difference. I've sat on them for extended periods of time with no problems. Guests have also complimented them. Great stools for counter height seating. Very easy to assemble. Also very sturdy!

Be prepared to improvise assembly. Very nice woods used in manufacture but hardware included is not all that good. Bolts to fasten seat to base legs is fine but beware the included wood screws are softer than the hardwood. I twisted the head off the second one as I was putting it together and had lots of problems getting the stringer out and removing what was left of the wood screw. Make you life easier and buy new good quality 1.5 inch wood or construction screws. I did manage to finish assembly but could not remove defective screw entirely. I was able to secure stringer through same hole leaving remainder of first screw in place. I also used paper strips to wrap stringers as needed to tighten fit into legs. Overall, I'm very pleased with the results. We'll see how they hold up with use. Silver screw in photo is what I used. Note condition of mangled screw included in hardware bundle - too soft for application.

We have been ordering from Amazon for awhile - our postal service in Las Vegas was TERRIBLE - 1) they wouldn't deliver the chair saying it was too heavy to lift (needed a team???) and 2) we had to then go down to the post office to retrieve where the 5 foot tall postal gal lifted it with one hand to give to me - we just can't understand why this product didn't come directly from Amazon's own delivery service (it was an Amazon product)???? On the product front, it was not easy to assemble but the finished product is excellent.

Was so excited these chairs were back in stock finally. Waited months. Took out chair #1 of the 4 we ordered. We noted the first screw we attempted to use was defective in that the depth of the screw head’s “X” was not recessed enough to be operable. Okay we’ll replace that one with a screw we have on-hand in the toolbox. No biggie. Okay next screw, in the middle of screwing it into the chair leg, SNAPPED IN HALF and we were unable to disassemble or complete the section of chair. I immediately called customer service who, bless their hearts, were very helpful. In the meantime, my husband attempted to put together the next section and the 3rd screw head snapped off AGAIN! Crazy. We’re going to attempt to keep the chair and purchase our own hardware ($$$, great) but dang, Amazon, come on. The hardware in a piece of furniture like this should be quality tested before offering it to customers. Will update with the screws of the other 3 chairs / how they turn out.

These were easy to assemble, I bought them to stain darker. Used a gel stain...worked great but learned not to sand per the instructions on the gel stain or the stain is very uneven. Just used a scotchbright pad lightly on the seat and nothing on the legs/supports and they stained beautifully....They are very nice as is but we wanted darker and this is easily the best priced stool for the quality.

This is a nice looking stool. Unfortunately I should've heeded other reviewers who said it was uncomfortable. We will have to return it, when the outcome we wanted was to buy 3 more. If you are fully seated, it's actually fine. But people often don't use stools that way. If you want to just sort of perch on the edge of it, the bump is very uncomfortable. If it had more of a "tractor" seat, it might be great. In short, it just isn't designed for how people use stools.
