You get what you pay for sometimes. I bought this because my very old riding mower finally bit the dust and I needed something quick and affordable. All in all it was easy to assemble and start and it cuts decent however a knob that holds the handle on must of come loose and fell off during operation despite me making sure everything was tight and I of course could not find it in the grass and I ended up having to use zippy ties to keep the handle on to finish cutting. I reached out to the company but have not gotten a response yet. I will revise my review if I can get a replacement knob. 7/24 Still no response from company Update 4/8/26 Lawn mower has already stopped working. Complete trash of a lawn mower. Only got one use out of it this season than the second mowing it stalled and I cannot get it to start. ... show more

I ordered this for my husband. He requested this particular mower because it is the size he wanted, the motor he wanted and it has a steel deck. He was excited to get it but when he opened the box, he was very disappointed to see that the height adjustment lever was broken off and laying on top of the mower. There is no way to just replace the lever. It is not fixable. The height adjustment lever looks to have been cheaply made at the connection, hence very easy to break off. He was also disappointed that the mower has plastic wheels - sort of akin to what you would find on a child's toy wagon. He had expected it to have rubber wheels. He said he will "make do" with the mower the way it is, despite not being able to use the height adjustment feature since it can't be returned or repaired. It is disappointing that a brand new item right out of the box arrived broken with no option to return or repair it. It did not meet our expectations of what we paid for.
