This camera is amazing! It takes beautiful photos, even for a person new to photography. It is highly customizable. Great Quality Camera
Love everything about this camera, but "compact" it is not. Fairly heavy camera, especially if you roam around town or hiking trail with it.

Good camera, connection software is disappointing in the modern age it could be better.
The Camera is very good but the Canon connection software is disappointing. I expected to easily transfer photos to my computer photo library thru wifi or bluetooth, but the setup is too fussy. It works, but just not as easy as it should be in the 2020s. You're basically gonna use the SD card to get photos onto your computer. The camera is very good and I have taken beautiful photos as well as astrophotos. This review is focused on being disappointed with the fussy WiFi and BT implementation. Instead of making it super easy to send photos to your computer or phone, it takes too many steps so you'll end up using the card. On the camera, I noticed a lag time when using it's modern display since it is mirrorless, it is totally dependent on the embedded processor to put images to screen, and unlike old analog where you can always see through the SLR, you can't unless it is 1. Amazing camera
Coming from Canon 5D MK IV which has served me well for several years. I hadn't been too interested in moving to Canon's mirrorless lineup until recently. I am traveling quite a bit lately and wanted something a little smaller than my 5D MKIV with a grip and large aperture L lenses. After reading the specs and reviews of the R5 and R6 MK II, I was quite interested in both. While the R5 might be the target for serious 5D MKIV owners, personally, I felt the R6 MK II was a better fit for my needs (travel, family pictures, wildlife, etc.). I ordered the R6 MK II with the 24-105/f4L kit which just arrived today. Without reading the manual or changing any settings, I took some test pictures indoors and was instantly blown away by the images this camera produces. Super versatile, intelligent shooting modes, and with image stabilization in both the body and the lens, completely sharp pictures can be taken at very low shutter speeds. Very happy with this purchase - I honestly wasn't sure what to expect, and thought maybe I would miss the higher resolution of the R5, but since this R6 was just refreshed (and it doesn't look like a R5 MK II is going to be here anytime soon), I went with the R6 MK II and couldn't be happier. If you are like me and obsessing over specs between the different mirrorless offerings from Canon, trust the reviews and sample images.
