I bought this to replace a super expensive LG air conditioner that just really never blew cold air- but I installed it outside of the return window... So I was stuck with an 80+ degree room for a couple years. Finally decided to invest in a new AC and it has cooled my room down within 20 minutes and I'm so happy I could cry. I struggle badly with heat intolerance due to my POTS so I rarely spent time in my room, and would sleep in the living room where the main AC is. Blows nice and cold, isn't super loud, and does its job! YAY ... show more

Cools the room pretty quickly and works well for a small bedroom or office. Installation was straightforward and the controls are simple to use. The only reason for 4 stars is that it’s a little louder than I expected, especially at night, but overall still a good value for the price.

This is the cheapest possible thing on the market, if that's what you're looking for, I wasn't! The symbols are some weird Chinese things that I don't understand at all. With new batteries you still have to be in line of sight for the remote to work, I have a cabinet next to it so I have to get up to use the remote from certain spots. I would suggest Amazon Basics find a new basic model because this one is a cut below basic... ... show more
