This was an Amazon's choice purchase and I am quite impressed. Having a four-legged friend who is very messy at the water bowl. I was looking for a solution and this fit the bill. It is very flexible and has an outer ridge so when she starts slapping the water around it lands on the silicone pad as opposed to on my floor. The outer ridge keeps it from spilling off, which I think is great. Cleanup is so easy. Literally put it in the sink. Rinse it off dry and back to the floor it goes. I purchased this alternate "Amazon" version to the mat I had gotten in the past. I believe it works and does it job. It's fairly easy to wash off the food and dirt that it collects. However, since you get what you pay for, the other mat for a different brand that I got has a higher edge than the Amazon one. The material is also thicker and the folda that you see in the blue Amazon mat are there to this day. It doesn't really bother me since both do what they need to, but (probably because of the color) it's easy to see the dirt and hair that falls on the mat. I find it that the gray mat doesn't get as dirty with dust and hair as the blue one does (also the blue one is bigger). In conclusion, both are fine, but if you want higher quality, get the more expensive ones ... show more
