This mattress protector saved my son's bed! I had this protector on my son's bed and a different one on my daughter's bed and our new kitten peed on BOTH. I spent several days cleaning my daughter's mattress to remove all odor and stains from the kitten and as soon as her mattress was fully clean, put this mattress protector on (I immediately ordered when I discovered the mess from the kitten). My son's mattress was perfect and I just had to wash his bedding and put back on. Definitely get for little kids and pets to keep mattresses like brand new.

It's ligh weight. I can' yet report about the washability, it stays in place, easy to fit on mattres, comfortable, its water-proof capability has'nt been tested yet Hopefully it will be water-proof. I will update this review in the future. Thanks.

Yes! It is water proof. It protects my mattress nicely. It serves its function and the price is good. And it is comfortable. No trouble to fit the protector onto the mattress at all. Amazon knows we hate to pull the protector really hard and still it does not fit. However, it is such a trouble to dry the protector in the dryer. The soft part of the protector is heavy after wash. The protector just naturally gets inverted when it is in the dryer. I need to open the dryer to take the inverted part of the protector out many times as to completely dry it. Hope that they can solve this problem.

it's unlike any other texture of mattress protecter, almost like a towel material. it's actually really nice to lay on, i've had a few mattress protectors that sound like plastic as you move around, this doesn't do that at all. it's not overly fancy, a little warm in my opinion, but my mattress remains protected another day so i cant complain.

I always have a mattress protector on my bed, especially since I have two cats who like to huck up hairballs when I’m gone. They’ve had to accidents yet, but I can tell from the material this is a good as my old one. It’s soft and just the right thickness so I can’t feel it under my fitted sheet. I bought it for a full bed but ended up having to put it on my queen size due to an emergency, and it still fit wonderfully, so I imagine it would be super easy to install on the right side. It went through the wash great. There is no zipper but seeing as the smaller size fit my queen, I doubt you’d need it.

This mattress protector was put to the test when my old dog fell asleep on my bed and peed. The mattress protector didn’t do anything, went right through to the mattress. So disappointed since this is a new mattress. I’ve gotten the “Safe rest” brand in the past, it costs more but it’s 100% waterproof and actually protects the mattress from everything. Don’t buy this Amazon basic one.
