Ordered the 60” model. The listing states the item is 3.89” deep - which would basically fit in standard 2x4 construction with 3/8” drywall. Unfortunately, the main unit that would typically be recessed is 4 3/8” deep. So you’ll likely have to knock out any drywall behind it in order to get a flush mount up front. It looks great, but I had to get creative on the wall behind where it’s mounted. If you’re planning on building out to accommodate, check the dimensions. Other than that, installation was simple. Oh, I liked the fireplace when I saw it on the ad so I ordered it. The price was $456.02 days later I received the fireplace and I noticed that Amazon change the price to over $80 cheaper than what I paid I thought by calling customer service they would match their own price what I learned was I would have to return almost 100 pound fireplace and then re-order it in order to get a discount Now I love the fireplace they know I’m not gonna mail it back in. Pretty fireplace, the flames are a little bit too animated for my taste but this is not our forever home. Immediately upon install a clicking or ticking noise started. We don’t use it for heat and our tv is usually on when it is but without other noises the ticking is fairly annoying.

I mounted this on the wall in my living room and plan to build a floating shelf enclosure around it. Product looks great and looks awesome under my wall mounted tv. The major downside is that the heat output is pretty weak. I don’t see this effectively heating up 900 sq feet. Id say if you are truly looking for an effective heating source than I probably wouldn't get this. I personally got this for its looks/sleek design so the heat not having a large output/heating isn't a big downside for me. However It does actually heat my smaller living room a decent amount but so does a smaller cheaper space heater from Wal Mart. Of course it also is the spring when I'm writing this so it doesnt get as cold at night as it does in the winter. ... show more
