I love my cat and I do not want to risk harming her in any way so when it comes time to take her somewhere the battle begins. I would leave the carrier out for her to sleep in or whatever so she was familiar with it and used to it. She never seemed to be near the thing when I needed her to be and riding in it is somehow different than curling up in a ball several times smaller than she is. She rolls to half of her size. It was a challenge she looked like the cartoon figure spreading every limb as not to be stuffed inside the carrier. Every way I have read I tried and ended in an unpleasant experience making the ride even more dreadful. I needed a top loading carrier that was still supported the soft carriers she bites scratches and I have not seen one that will actually stay flat. This carrier has a larger front opening and top loading. No problem to get her in. She still screams it is no more enjoyable however it is not a fight . A huge huge drawback is it could and would I have no doubt release the top latch. It is not a very good or strong design . You have to hold it on the bottom or buy a strap to use on the front and back. It is worth the inconvenience to me just to be able to get her in there without fighting with her. If that were not an issue and it is a huge one it would be perfect.

I needed another cat carrier. This crate not only met, but exceeded, my expectations!! High quality materials, very sturdy construction, and thoughtful design and materials taking into consideration that a live being will be housed inside. Also, very simple to put assemble, just a few minutes and you’re set. This carrier easily fits either our 11 lb. cat, or 13 lb. cat. I had looked all over to find one that didn’t have sharp edges on any interior surfaces, as our cats like to try to press their faces (including delicate nose tissue) against any places they can see out. On cheap carriers, this has meant they sometimes cut/scraped their noses before. Recently, I looked for a new carrier at two big box pet storms, a farm & fleet supply store, and a local pet store. No dice, so I ordered this one through Amazon and hoped it would meet my expectations. Kudos, Amazon!!

As soon as we pulled the carrier out of the delivery box we knew we made the right purchase. Extremely sturdy, hardware that fastens the two lids together are incredible (see pic) & the door quality is excellent. Pay attention to the bad reviews because there are 3 different pet carriers to choose from. We believe the bad reviews are on the plastic carrier with plastic door. Gave 5 stars for traveling, sturdiness & comfort, although the shell is hard plastic but a nice fleece bed would make your family member comfortable. It pays to spend a little more money to ensure your pet is transported safely without fear of getting out as well as it lasting a long time.

We currently have a set up of a play pen with a wire crate attached, and I wanted this travel crate to use so I didn’t have to deconstruct her playpen-wire crate set up. Great product! As a rescuer, I have a couple of dozen carriers in different sizes and brands. At this price I assumed this was going to be a low quality carrier, but I needed an extra carrier for transporting some foster kittens and the price was right. I was shocked - in a good way! The quality (durability, design, ease of use) is amazing. It puts the other brand I always bought to shame (PM) at almost HALF the price! Features that I have always wished for that this one has: Ability to open the top load in either direction, option to choose only latch close or to use the bolt downs - necessity for rescuing feral cats, ease of assembly, not absurdly and unnecessarily tall, stackable, convenient loops on top for securing it in place in a vehicle, a really nice periwinkle and grey color that will be easy to keep clean, the list goes on! I just ordered another one and this will be my go-to choice from this point forward.

This is a very sturdy travel carrier case. I took my cat to the Vet for the first time in it and it was perfect. They're was plenty of room in the carrier for her. I love that it has 2 doors to get into it, the front and top. Now if I can only get my cat to go back in it voluntarily b'cuz she doesn't like to be carried around in it 🤦♀️

This pet carrier is an amazing value for the price. First, it can be assembled in about 10 minutes with just a phillips screwdriver. Once assembled, it is extremely sturdy. Not only is the top half held to the bottom half with two snapping clips on each side, each side of the carrier is 100% securely held together with 3 screws and nuts on each side. The nuts are even recessed into a short tube which prevents the screws from accidently working their way loose. The top has two spring latches so that it can be completely removed or opened on only one side, thereby remaining attached and swiveling open. The front door is metal with no sharp edges or points. The door is opened by squeezing two springs together so that the door cannot accidentally come open. A swivel hook at each end of the carrier will allow the carrier to be hung from a ceiling hook to keep the carrier out of the way when not in use. The pet's name can be written or taped to a smooth surface on the end of the carrier if desired. The inside is roomy and will easily hold our 12 pound male cat and will give him room to turn around and face the opposite direction. Overall I am very pleased with this product.

The “manual” has NO written assembly instructions, and it seems to show you putting the top on Before installing the front door; whereas you need to Lower the Top Onto the top front door hinge. Also, it is a mystery how the top door opens UNLESS you have read the Amazon description !! A picture here would help. Also, installing the screws is at first a mystery but some reviewers have good suggestions. Have not tried it with our overweight ‘kitten’, yet, but now are forewarned about possible problems with the top door coming off (!!).
