After seeing so many reviews with glass base TV mounts shattering, I was thrilled to finally find one with a solid metal base. This thing is rock solid and almost overkill for my 43" TV, so I can't say I'd recommend it for anything smaller. The base is quite large at 12x18 inches so that might be something to consider for your planned location. The well labelled parts and the pictures really helped the assembly go fairly easily although some of it was a bit tricky when trying to align a couple of the holes, bolts and washers. If tools really aren't your thing, a helper with a third hand would solve that problem. All in all, I'll call this a good purchase at a really good price.

The quality of this stand is very nice and strong, it was straightforward to set up but it would help if you had your own set of tools, the included ones would be doable but would be make set up harder. It comes with different types of screws so you should be able to find a size that fits with your TV. The stand itself is metal it is heavy but it is stable and doesn't move. I would definitely recommend this stand. It works perfectly for my dresser that was too small for the included TV legs.

Swivel TV stand is Fnantastic! It is constructed of ALL METAL including the nice heavy base.. It is easy to assemble, clear instructions, sturdy, well built with adjustable height and left/right tilt for leveling although I made sure and put together the swivel holders using a level so I did not have to even mess with the tilt adjustment. It can be raised so that a soundbar can easily fit underneath a 55" TV with no problems. I dont know about a 65" as my 65" is old and too heavy for this stand. The stand comes with many different Metric mounting screws, washers and spacers. The only tool you will need is a phillips head screwdriver. Every other tool needed is included although if you own a socket wrench it will be faster. Even though it comes with so many different screws, you may run into needing a different length depending on your TV model and the design of the back. It would be impossible to include every size. I recommend this TV stand highly. This stand clearly states it has a 55lb TV weight limit contray to what some reviewers say. PRO ADVICE: Do not buy any stand with "Tempered glass" as a base. I have seen several shatter/explode weeks after the TV was mounted, causing the TV to crash to the ground and destroying it. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission should not allow TV Stands with "Tempered Glass" as a base. They are a danger and when they have exploded, they throw shards across the room and TV could fall on a child or pet.

First off the instructions are absolutely horrific, no explanation of steps in detail. Minimal text, just pictures. After a little trial and error I figured it out. There was a crushed bolt in the package and no extras so that was a setback but I found it at a hardware store. Once completed, it is a very sturdy stand. I have a 50" Roku Tv on it and it looks great. The swivel function is fantastic, suits my needs. Had glare from sun before, problem solved! It is rather large and heavy but I would prefer that over the smaller tempered glass options here, more secure. I prefer the matte black metal over glass too, no fingerprints. Amazon made it right so I am happy. I recommend this stand.

The main reason for ordering this over other comparable TV stands was that this one was the only one I could find that came with a heavy wooden base. After reading a number reviews of the ones with tempered glass bases shattering, and having had good long-term success with another brand that I had purchased from Amazon with a similar wooden base (it was no longer available on Amazon and I could not find it anywhere), I settled on this one even though I did not actually need the swiveling capability for my use case. The parts were very well finished and the black coating/paint appeared to be very durable. Again, I felt more confident in a wooden base that would not potentially shatter and this was the only one I could find on Amazon. The design of this base is also very nice with a single pedestal arm for a nice clean look. Unfortunately, prior to assembling the stand, I noted that due to the swivel mount, this stand was only rated to 55 lbs. Since my tv was 48 lbs, I decided to return this stand since I wanted to make sure that the specs far exceeded any expected load. This was obviously no fault of the stand as it appeared to be of very nice quality but was more an oversight on my part (I was looking at so many options that I must have mis-recalled the specs when ordering. The stand itself gets 5 stars.

Works great! Raises the TV and allows it to swivel for different viewing angles. Very steady. A little challenge putting it all together--they include all kinds of extra screws and bolts for different TVs so you won't need them (but save them for when you buy a new TV). The directions are fairly easy to follow, but recommend 2 people.
