Description

The Mini II Bass is here to expand your horizons and your registers! Based on our popular travel-size Mini, the Mini II Bass is slightly bigger and features an extended 580mm (22 7/8”) scale length so it tunes perfectly to Standard E. Keep it acoustic and the Mini II Bass's deeper body depth will provide a well- rounded tone; use its Cordoba MB103 pickup to plug it in and you'll be surprised by this portable bass's rich, robust tone. Built with a solid spruce top and striped ebony back and sides, the Mini II Bass EB-E is resonant with a clear, defined tone. Strung with nylon core, phosphor-bronze strings, the Mini II Bass feels and sounds more like a full size bass than its miniature bass counterparts. With the Mini II Bass EB-E, you'll never have to leave the low- end behind!

  • Nice little bass guitar
I bought this to hack around and try to learn to play bass guitar. I'm a 6 string player of 55 years .. old dog needs some new tricks. It's easy to pickup and play anytime anywhere . even sitting back in the recliner! Action is just fine, round wound strings are a bit noisy (finger slide) but that's expected. Yep, I'd buy it again. Update .. the 12 yr ok grandkid has taken a real shine to it when he visits. So I gave it to him! One thing I did was to polish the sharp edges on the (side) ends of all the frets. It’s only a $300 guitar and they stop short at some point with expense at this level. This is his first guitar and he is very finicky .. I was sure that would drive him nuts. Now it plays nice and smooth. ... show more

  • Great value - comfortable to play
The special strings (developed for the Taylor mini bass - D'Addario ones) are very comfortable. Pickup suprisingly good. Tuner is convenient. A 3/4 size gigbag holds it easily. Great value for money. If you can spare the $$, get the solid top like I did - you'll get more projection. If you can't, the all laminate one will be great. ... show more

  • Would be great, I think… but mine came with missing parts and rusted strings.
Made in China, But for the price and materials, I guess that is to be expected. It looks like a very good mini bass guitar, but the battery pack was missing completely and the strings were already corroded… the strings buzz a lot too. Perhaps the neck is warped? I feel bad that the guitar must have been sitting around in a warehouse for so long. I have no idea if or how the built in pickup and tuner work yet because the battery pack was missing but the acoustic tone is good when not buzzing. Amazon is shipping a replacement. Hope it doesn’t have the same issues, I would like this if it didn’t have these issues. ... show more

  • Full size sound from a mini size bass
Everything is to like—workmanship, size, sound, fun factor, on-board electronics and tuner, ain’t cheap but quality isn’t. Fun-fun-fun!

  • Too much money for something this cheap!
This "travel size" bass is so flimsily built that it cannot travel without being destroyed.

  • Sounds Great ! and Light weight.
I use this more than my electrics because the sound is so good and the scale is shorter. And, I can practice after my wife goes to bed.
