I came here to shop after the wooden slats which came with my new bed frame (purchased at a famous Swedish retailer) proved to be GARBAGE. I needed something quick and I needed more height than flat wooden slats provided. I was also looking for a good price, considering how much I had spent already. I saw this, read tons of reviews, and decided to buy it. Glad I did. I’m a handicapped middle-aged woman (knee & lower leg issues), but I unboxed and assembled the frame ALL BY MYSELF. Yes, I bought a queen. I’m not saying it was a walk in the park, but I have upper-body strength and I managed. Directions are simple and clear (esp. if you’re used to home assembly). Now, I will say that the corners didn’t all magically fall into place — 1 required gentle hammering. And ALL the metal slats needed to be gently hammered into place, but it’s doable. It then fit easily into the “Swedish” bed frame. (I was worried about that.) I saw a lot of buyers complained about the fabric cover not fitting (being too small), but mine is perfect and went on and zipped up nicely. I’ve been sleeping on it for several days, using a firm “Swedish” mattress, and I don’t feel the metal frame at all. A GREAT BUY! ... show more

Assembly instructions were great and easy to follow. All parts were labeled and being packaged separately helped a lot as to not have a lot of pieces everywhere on the floor and not knowing which is which so we were opening the parts as needed. It is economical. Years back maybe like 6 we had purchased a box spring from a different seller as I don’t recall ever seeing an Amazon Basic brand prior. Anywho, they do last quite a lot of years. I like how easy it is to assemble. No tools necessary, just unfold, and screw in the thumbscrew. I prefer mine without the cloth cover on it. Makes it look like a platform bed. Only complaint: The horizontal bars are really thin and spaced far apart. I wish there were less of a gap between each bar, and for the bars to be wider; it’d dig into the mattress a lot less. ... show more
