    • Well designed mud mixer
I’ve been really impressed by how well this mixes mortar. Was using the m18 electrician drill for years, which worked OK but would often stop mid mix because of the clutch. Really thick mortar would cause the drill to stop. This new mud mixer runs at a much lower speed, so it doesn’t slosh the mud everywhere. It has a very convenient, limiting dial close to the users handle that governs the top speed. At 100 RPM a total novice can mix the mortar without any risk of slashing out of the bucket. With the Electrician drill, you always had to be very careful with the trigger because it wanted to spin at too high of a speed. I would estimate that a six amp battery will mix 25 buckets of mortar, which is more than a weeks worth of tile setting ... show more

If you're mixing mud or concrete, this thing is a game changer. No cords to mess with. Plenty strong to do the mixing. Used to pour 100 bags of concrete mixing two bags at a time in 15 gal bucket. Worked like a champ.

    • Perfect torque and speeds. Dangerous handle
I'm a tile setter by trade. I'm interested to see how long this lasts. I've mixed 10 50lb buckets of medium bed thinset with zero issues and very minimal bogging down. Very impressive honestly. It is geared perfectly for heavy mixing applications. I bet with a egg-beater type mixing paddle you could whip up a few small batches of deck mud or dry pack mortar. No small feat! I'm a huge Milwaukee tool junky. I hate to leave 4 stars. But the cam-lock tab that locks the aux handle was incredibly loose right out of the box. I cant find any way to tighten it. It locks tight in only one position and it's not where I like to have it for comfortable mixing. If I try to lock it in any other position it immediately comes loose while mixing, and could be a safety hazard while mixing a Full Bucket. There is a lot of torque involved! It would be easy to break a wrist or at the very least bruise it severely if that were to come loose while holding during mixing. Not cool Milwaukee.
