Didn't want to spend much for a box spring that will only be used for a few years in the kids room. This turned out to be an amazing option. First, assembly was easy. No tools needed with only 4 knob type bolts to attach. Frame basically unfolds and you push in the supporting cross bars and lock in the frame with the 4 bolts. Once assembled, I found the box spring to be very light yet very sturdy. The included cover is nice and easy to zip up. Took me about 10 minutes. The best feature about this is that it can be easily taken a part and stored using a fraction of the space a regular box spring would take up. Overall great budget box spring. ... show more

The design for this box spring is fantastic! We've purchased several different boxsprings in the past couple of years, and the fold-out design of this one was hands-down the easiest and fastest to put together. It feels sturdy as well. The cover is well-made, the zipper was helpful, and I like that the entire box spring is covered in fabric. 10/10 stars in these regards from me! The only issue we had, which knocked my rating down a star was that it was a little wider than the bed rails for my daughter's bed. We even purchased a second set of straight rails and it still wouldn't sit down in it. We were able to switch a different box spring (so I know it isn't *just* the bed/rails), and used this one on a regular framed bed. So just buyer beware that it may be a little wide if you're using the metal rails that attach to the headboard and footboard! ... show more

A lot of the times items will say no tools required to assemble and they mean no extra tools, but this really required no tools! I am pretty inept when it comes to putting things together and I was able to do so with no problem. The only thing that I made the mistake of, was trying to put it in the bedframe first before fully assembled to measure and it didn't fit. I thought I was going to have to return it but once fully assembled we had no issues!
