I was mentally prepared to spend at least 30 minutes setting up this light as that is how it has been in the past. To my surprise and happiness I opened my Alexa app, turned on the light and it said new light found. I was shocked. This literally took seconds.     • Super easy to connect with Alexa
We tried another brand of Alexa capable bulbs and failed miserably so it was returned and we found the Amazon brand! So happy because it works with our Echo Show so much better! Since we already have the Alexa app on our phones, we didn't have to download any extra apps to control the light which is great. As soon as I clicked to add a new device in the app it recognized the bulb and brought me through the steps to connect and now our difficult to reach lamp is now smart and fun with this color changing bulb! I set thos up with my Alexa, and it was so very easy and user friendly, it was the first "smart light" I've done, I should have bought more! I like the most if I forget to turn it off Alexa will turn it off for me, now I'm just curious to see how long it last!

Itโ€™s pretty finicky connecting with Alexa, doesnโ€™t change colors, but it gets the job done and you can control it with the Alexa App without a problem. Would rather the voice control be less glitchy though.

I'm slowly moving from using older Phillips Hue light bulbs and Homekit to Amazon Alexa starting with Echo Show 15 and these light bulbs, and I'm so happy I'm making the switch. The price is great compared to Hue bulbs with very little difference in quality. The setup was a breeze, I screwed it in and my Echo Show 15 automatically detected it and we were off and working. The light chain on the old bedroom ceiling fan broke off thankfully in the on position so generally had to turn everything on or off unless I was unscrewing bulb's. This solves that problem nicely for us poor folk's, Thanks Amazon ! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ Great buy work's excellent.

    • For Alexa Only! Amazon Alexa on Android lacks features
The lightbulb installed itself after I finally surrendered and downloaded Amazon Alexa for Android. Thr app installs it and gives you options, even lets you set a schedule adjust brightness and change color; however, the bulb says it has preset programs for changing colors and what not. Android Amazon Alexa says "I don't know how to do that yet." Price was on point, delivery on point...and something that saves on hassle: You can unscrew it and move it and you don't have to set it up again. It will retain the info. If you want it to turn off or on at a schedule, your phone must be on...atleast for me. Dead phone means nothing to tell it to turn on at night or off in morning. ... show more
