Very solid construction, good dimensions, lock mechanism works flawlessly and it's super easy to setup. However, look at my pictures now, call me crazy but to me where the "AmazonBasics" logo is placed, is the front of the unit. Then why in God's name when looking at lock from this angle are the numbers upside down? Did I get a defective unit and this isn't supposed to be this way? What's going on here? Numbers are upside down and difficult to read due to the color of the dials and the numbers and if you open it with the numbers right side up you open it towards you which makes it dificult to see what’s in the box or grab things and it’s just an overall awkward situation opening it. Also one of the dials is hard to turn to scramble the code after locking the box. The foams are too small and don’t fit snug either so the top one falls out every time you open the box and they are also too thin to hold a firearm in place when closed. When I close it then lift the box and rest it on its side I can hear the gun and magazines slide in between the foams and hit the side of the box. What they should have done is added a thin layer of egg carton style foam on top of a thin layer of flat foam that way it will hold stuff in place, but if you just want a case to put things you don’t mind sliding around in and want more room then you could just take out the egg carton foam and have just the flat foam. If they did that and fixed all of the issues I mentioned with the dial it would be a great lockbox. It’s hard to believe they didn’t fix all these issues before releasing it to the public they are very obvious problems.

This is a very high quality, locking case. It feels sturdy and made well, that’s the absolute first thing I noticed when picking it up. I have the large size, and it has no problem holding a Ruger EC9S with an extended mag and 2 extra magazines. I would absolutely recommend this to a friend, and I personally have already purchased another of these for myself with the combination lock. ******************************* I rely heavily on reviews when I make purchases so I put some time into reviewing everything I buy on Amazon for personal or business use so I can help other people considering that item. When I got the package I was happy n I reset password too I feel so secure with case, I felt like I can use easily, once I set password n put my important documents, after few days I tried to open case, like tried to unlock n I couldn't opened, latch was so hard n finger hurted, then after I couldn't opened, after I called customer service support center, they tried to unlocked checked lots of vedio but they were failed It tooks more then half n hr, they said call locksmith n all,..hopefully I will get my refund back... Still my stuff inside it didn't work, I lost my money n time, I wish they give me my refund

As others have mentioned, the numbers appear upside down in relation to the way the case is meant to be held. More importantly, the dial is dull grey while the numbers are black, making it very difficult to read even in full light. There's no reason for this - the numbers should be easier to read in full light, let alone dark light. TSA locks, for example, are black with white numbers and easy to see. Other than that it is a good case with plenty of padding and otherwise well designed.

Perfect Multipurpose Lockbox for the house and easy to pack along with you if needed. I throw it in my backpack sometimes and it's great, with the foam it makes no clanking sounds or pill-shaking sounds. Would be great for keeping things out of family members hands. Medications: Bought this for the purpose of securing my prescription medications with roommates and family, high traffic housing, along with it's street values. Not to mention Keep away Children or Addicts, close enough. Meds went missing and I got this, it fits with ease 4-5 medium/normal size 60 capsule pill bottles, 3-4 Med-L Bottles, fits my daily pill separator too. I did take one of the foam insets out as it comes with a top and bottom form inset to hold the valuables in place which is very nice, just leaving the top one in for me makes it sound like I don't have any meds in my box. I recommend the combo lock, as you know many people truly can pick these firesafe locks, and if someone wanted to without me noticing they could not without the code (randomize it to an early significant number or parents age or something the people your afraid about wouldn't have a clue about). I have had numerous safes and lockboxes, and I've paid good money, however, bypass keys bypass those types of safes and defeated the purpose of a keypad combo as they could just open it right up if they found the bypass key(s). ** This Safe Does not have a bypass key!! Which is EXACTLY what I wanted. It's cheap enough that if I REALLY actually forget a 3-digit code and desperately need it, I could pry it open most of the way, saw it open but It would be obviously demolished. I recommend it to anyone who needs to keep things secured within a secure location. It has a great strong reinforced thick gauge tension cable and a slot on the side to cable it to a metal frame, bed, etc. Or it has screw holes to mount on the wall or on a shelf or drawer.. For Gun-Owners: Could Store a large Handgun and Bullets, don't know about a box of bullets, but certainly a clip or rotating mags worth
