The light is small enough and sufficiently bright to meet my expectations. I installed it on the exterior of our shed that doubles as a man-cave and the esthetics is good. It is not disturbingly bright, but just enough to illuminate the specific area.

I like the style of these porch lights from Amazon. Each fixture has two cones. With a bulb in each cone, light shines from each end, up and down. Light shines down to illuminate the porch and entry door, while light shining up reflects off the bottom side of our covered porch. Compared to our old porch fixture, this one emits brighter, broader light. I’m reminded of mid-century-modern design. These fixtures are perfect for a brick ranch home from that era, but I think they’d be great looking with other architectural styles as well, especially as an eclectic counterpoint. The directions are minimal, mainly graphics. Light fixtures are pretty easy to swap out because I’ve done many. Someone without experience might find the directions to be lacking. I planned an hour out of my morning to install the first, and it took less. When I got ready to install the second, I unpacked its pack of bolts to find one was missing. A replacement was easily found in the garage, identical except for color. Testing waited because bulbs aren’t included. “U10” bulbs are not bulbs that fit standard righty-tighty, lefty-loosey sockets. If that info had been prominent in the web page product description, I could have passed on the fixtures or ordered bulbs at the same time. Once the bulbs came in, I was happy with the results and, if not for the light bulbs, I’d have given a rating of five stars versus four. ... show more

    • Easy install, Look great
These lights add a modern look anywhere you mount them. We chose to mount them outside of our shed on either side of the door and they look great. The lights come packaged in the generic brown box packaging and each piece is in a plastic bag to avoid anything getting scratched. The lights are an easy install, only requiring the standard electrical tools. The lights don't come with bulbs so we went with 4 GU10 LED bulbs which work perfectly. The lights look great installed and with 2 bulbs per light, they put out a lot of light. The design is well thought out - the top and bottom unscrew to provide access to the bulbs, but have clear sealed plastic windows on each end which protects the bulb and stands up to the elements. Overall we are very happy with these lights, both the quality and the look when installed. ... show more
