I was afraid after I bought these chairs that they wouldn’t be sturdy. The review that mentions to loosen all the nuts then tighten them when the chair is assembled is helpful. I also had someone sit in the chair to put some weight on it while I tightened and didn’t have and wobbling. For the money they are perfect. I would feel guilty spending more on a chair only to have my kids draw, kick, scratch, or destroy them. These will do fine in our kitchen. Make sure you tighten ALL nuts (even the ones holding the metal struts in the legs) and the chair will be sturdy enough for most kids/adults. ... show more

Purchased the four pack of grey chairs. The base came pre-assembled and literally takes 4 bolts+ washers to assemble the seat to the base. They lined up great (one took a minute of finagling but no real trouble). It took me 15-20 minutes to unbox and assemble all four chairs. Much faster than other assemble yourself chairs I have purchased. Purchased these for our homeschool space in our living area. They look great in the space and will function well for my children. They are comfortable and sturdy for kids and adults; larger adults (200+ lbs) may not find them sturdy enough. I don't know how well they will hold up as we just bought them but they were less than $16 per chair so I am hopeful to get my money worth. *The plastic does seem like it will be a challenge to remove* but it protected the legs during shipping and assembly. ... show more

The chairs themselves are nice and comparable to similar products that I've seen and used. It is easy to attach the bases to the shell. My major complaint is that each individual leg is shrink wrapped in a brittle clear plastic wrapper that goes underneath the bolts that hold the legs together. I spent hours trying to get it all off and in the end had to disassemble pretty much every leg assembly to get the shreds of clear plastic wrapping out from under each bolt. We bought these chairs for our dining room and they are surprisingly comfortable. Our main reason for buying new chairs was that we needed ones that our cat couldn’t destroy. Our previous chairs were upholstered and she enjoyed clawing them. These worked perfect, now she can’t claw/climb them because they are plastic, lol. They go well with our midcentury/boho decor. These are a little expensive to be as flimsy plastic as they are . Assembly was super easy, just tedious. The chairs look nice . The plastic is just not as sturdy as I would like .

These chairs are awesome for the price. Assembling them was relatively easy, the only part I did not like was the legs are wrapped in a thin clear plastic and when trying to tear it off some of the plastic gets stuck behind a bolt and it’s almost impossible to remove every little piece. The seat itself is not too rigid and has a little give which I think adds to the comfort but they still feel very sturdy. The chairs look great too! Well, the pro’s: these chairs, esthetically look great. The price is hard to beat for a set of four chairs. They arrived on time as Amazon notified us they would. They were easy to assemble. Took about 5 minutes per chair. We’ve had them for two months now in our dining room. They go great with our existing table we have. Cons: some of the screws have come loose and have also come off from underneath the chairs. The screws loosen up over time, so be careful to tighten the screws from time to time. We’ve had two screws loosen up and come off out of the four chairs. Also, every time we go to sit on our chairs, they make a squeaky noise. We were kind of weirded out at first but now we’ve gotten use to it. The funny part is when we have guests over and they sit on of the chairs, their expression is pretty hilarious. All in all, they’re comfortable,look great, and the price is hard to pass up for mid century style chairs. If you don’t mind the squeaky noises the chairs make when you sit on them I’d say go for it and buy them! ... show more
