  • Great for what it is ...
Weight: 4 Pounds
but not necessarily the best for many. The great is that this modestly priced workout ball appears to be a very durable, compact and with excellent traction to its hard surface. If one is looking for a near rigid ball, this is a very good choice for a wide range of exercises. It is, however, perhaps my least favorite of the half dozen or so balls I own and use, which range from full size traditional medicine balls to palm sized weighted balls and unweighted Yoga/Pilates style balls. What I prefer about these other balls is the to greater or lesser extent they will conform to the body surface they are placed against. As a result, I find them more comfortable to use and less dependent on opposing pressure for grip. That is not to say they require less overall gripping strength, but that the grip allows more "squeezing" with the fingers. With those that inflate, one has a greater choice of fine tuning the "give" of the surface of the ball. For others, the slight underfill or more compressible fill provides compliance. One of the balls has a stiffer shell (but still far less rigid than the Amazon Basics) with a sand like filling that shifts to the "bottom" as the balls is moved in space--at first this is rather unappreciated, but with a little familiarity on soon recognizes the value of having to adjust to the moving sand within the ball. So, while the AB ball is a very good value for a very good ball of its type (and why I give it full stars for what it is), I do suggest you consider whether the ball's stiff surface is be best for your workout routines. For me, with several balls to choose from, I find I prefer ones with greater compliance. ... show more

  • Great Workout Suppliment!
Weight: 10 Pounds
I recently purchased the Amazon Basics 10lb Medicine Ball for Workouts Exercise Balance Training and I am extremely impressed with its quality and effectiveness. As someone who is always looking for ways to improve my fitness routine, I was excited to try this product and it did not disappoint. Firstly, the construction of the medicine ball is top-notch. It is made with durable materials that can withstand intense workouts and it has a non-slip surface that makes it easy to grip and handle. Additionally, the ball is the perfect size and weight for a variety of exercises, ranging from squats and lunges to Russian twists and sit-ups. What I appreciate most about this medicine ball is how versatile it is. I can use it for a variety of different exercises and it adds an extra level of resistance to my workouts. I particularly enjoy using it for core exercises, as it challenges my stability and helps me to engage my abs and obliques more effectively. Another great feature of this medicine ball is that it can be used for both home and gym workouts. It is compact and easy to store, so I can easily bring it with me to the gym or use it at home when I'm unable to make it to the gym. Additionally, the ball is easy to clean and maintain, which is an added bonus. Overall, I would highly recommend the Amazon Basics Medicine Ball for Workouts Exercise Balance Training to anyone who is looking to add some variety to their fitness routine or who wants to challenge themselves with a new piece of equipment. It is affordable, durable, and versatile, making it a great investment for anyone who is serious about their fitness goals. In conclusion, the Amazon Basics Medicine Ball for Workouts Exercise Balance Training is a fantastic product that exceeded my expectations. Its quality construction, versatility, and ease of use make it a great addition to any fitness routine. I am very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a high-quality medicine ball. ... show more

The kiddos needed a medicine ball for at home training, found this one and decided to buy it as it was much more affordable than other brands. After receiving it and using it in our home it is very nice quality and as good if not better than some of the name brand medicine balls. • It's Basically good
Weight: 12 Pounds
I did weigh this guy, and he is a nice solid 11.9 pounds of rubber and assorted heavy stuff. I have been using this to workout with for a week and am enjoying it, but I'm no gym rat. I fear for the well being of this ball far less than I feared for my past medicine balls that I purchased at Wal-Mart. It is far more sturdy, although many reviews warn against slamming the ball on the ground. I don't plan on doing that. The rubber smell is not strong and the texture is pleasing to look at. I don't like the orange, but I'm going for function over form on this purchase. Overall, it's a "Basic" workout tool. It does what it is supposed to, and in comparison to other medicine balls, it's at a great price point. ... show more

  • Great for Youth Training and Home Workouts
Weight: 6 Pounds
I bought the 6-pound medicine ball to use during basketball conditioning with 10–12-year-old players, and it has been a great fit. It feels sturdy, has enough texture to maintain a good grip, and the weight is challenging without being too heavy for controlled exercises. We’ve used it for Russian twists, squats, core work, partner passes, and balance drills. Good quality for the price and a useful addition to our training equipment. ... show more

  • Solid, Reliable Medicine Ball for Home Workouts
Weight: 12 Pounds
I’m really happy with the 12 lb Amazon Basics medicine ball. It’s exactly what I was looking for: simple, durable, and well-made without any unnecessary extras. The weight feels accurate and evenly distributed, which makes it great for a variety of workouts—core exercises, Russian twists, wall balls, squats, and strength training. The textured surface provides a good grip, even during sweaty workouts, and it doesn’t feel slippery or awkward to handle. The ball has held up well to regular use and still looks and feels brand new. It doesn’t bounce excessively, which I actually prefer for controlled movements, and it feels sturdy enough to trust during dynamic exercises. For the price, this is an excellent value. If you’re building a home gym or just want a reliable medicine ball that does its job well, this one is a great choice. I’d absolutely buy another weight in this line. ... show more
