  • Plastic junk – You get exactly what you pay for
Style: Tripod Only
I have purchase many AmazonBasics products in the past and was very satisfied with the quality of each of the items I received. The 60-inch lightweight tripod was an exception. After returning the first tripod because the head couldn’t be secured in place, I received a replacement tripod with the exact same problem. For all you photography buffs. If you try to mount a simple Canon SLR camera equipped with a 1lb Sigma Art lens in front of it, you will notice right away that the camera will tend to tilt forward, regardless of how hard you tighten the plastic knob. I purchased this tripod in order to take night pictures of the Northern Light in Iceland. The AmazonBasic tripod was rendered useless to me when I realized that the tripod head couldn’t stay up right when my camera was mounted on it. ... show more

  • A Very Good Tripod For The Price
Style: Tripod Only
The media could not be loaded. The package comes with a tripod bag and one Tripod made of hard plastic and aluminium. The tripod itself comes with 2 levels one on top of the legs and the other on the head. I liked the first tripod so much that I bought another one. I am still looking for one more tripod and for the price this is a top runner. I started out with one tripod from bower and I paid about 45 dollars for it. For the quality I can hardly tell the difference. Everything on the tripod is basic and gets the job done. There is a fine line between a tripod that is junk and one that will work. The design and in inexpensiveness of this tripod does a great job of finding the range of price to be very low and something that will last for years. For my needs of a home studio these tripods suit my purpose and will last me a long time. PROS: Quick Connect Quick Hang Hook (for weights or extra gear) 2 Levels Price IS THIS PRODUCT A BUY OR NOPE: The 60 Inch Tripod by AmazonBasics is a BUY, for anyone needing an extra Tripod or getting started in Photography. • As Perfect & Utilitarian As A Tripod Can Be!!
Style: Tripod Only
The media could not be loaded. I absolutely LOVE this tripod. I have no clue how such a versatile tripod can go for so low...but hey just one more reason to LOVE Amazon.com!! As you can see I have no arms so I need a tripod that is lightweight but full on perks...this tripod is EVERYTHING I hoped for & then some!!!! It is VERY easy to operate from manipulating the height to changing the swivel points for various angles. The knobs are nice & big making screwing/unscrewing very easy & effortless. I got this for my Makayama iPad case & it works seamlessly with it. Great product! Great pricing!! Thanks Amazon!!!! [...] ... show more

  • Better than nothing?
Style: Tripod Only
Bottom line: This is a decent tripod for the money, but it's not great. If you can afford a better tripod, don't bother with this. This has some really solid components. The legs themselves are pretty solid and have a great finish. The extensions pull out really nicely and stay in place perfectly. The feet have little ball joints on the ends so you're always pretty stable regardless of what the ground is like. But that's about where the good stuff ends. Where the legs attach to the body is flimsy and will move if you touch the camera, which almost negates any value of HAVING a tripod since as soon as you press the shutter button, the pod will shift. Sometimes it won't shift back and you'll get a good shot. Sometimes it will rebound and you'll get a smeared mess. There is an extension on the body that will raise the mount up, but that is about as stable as a bobble head doll. The crank to raise it feels like it could snap off at any moment. I'm debating returning this item. It is still slightly better than no tripod at all. ... show more

  • TOTALLY recomend it!
Style: Tripod Only
As an "Intermediate" Photographer, testing the waters in professional/paid photography, I love this tripod! I do mostly nature, street, and portait shots, but I do occasionally do events and sports. This tripod is great for all of that! It allows me to get a slow enough ShutterSpeed, whether I'm in a lower lighting situation such as a party & don't want to crank up my ISO, or I am doing a landscape shot, and want very creamy, soft, movement. The tripod is very inexpensive- who wants to pay + for brands??? Very lightweight. Easy to transport (comes with a bag). It has so many features! Definitely recomend. I will let you guys know if my opinion on the tripod changes. ... show more

  • Fantastic - all you need for basic use
Style: Tripod Only
I agonized for so long about getting a tripod for my Sony A6000, looking at pricey Manfrottos and the like, totally uncertain about what was best for my amateur video needs. Luckily I stumbled upon a photography review website that explained in lucid English that this simple $20/$25 tripod was basically all one would ever need for shooting in the home, on the beach, at graduation ceremonies, or in other non-demanding environments. They were 100% correct, and I pass this enthusiastic review along to anyone else who might be wondering whether they need the $250 carbon-filament Zomeii or the $500 Manfrotto just to get some video of their cat wandering around the apartment. This tripod is exceptionally stable, easy to lengthen/shorten, and has a super-easy detachable head thingy that, with the flick of a switch, can free your camera for hand-held shooting or for replacing the battery/memory card. I’m sure there are reasons why someone might want a super-high-end ultra-expensive tripod, but unless you have a heavy camera or the need to shoot in mountainous war-zones, I think this tripod is the rare example of a solution that’s not too good to be true. If you just want something to plop your light mirrorless camera on and shoot, this is a fantastic buy. ... show more
