Memory foam to soft, to hot? Coil spring to hard, feel to much movement? Look no further! This mattress is great, not to soft, not to hard, has cooling gel! Everything you want and need, don’t delay, sleep like a baby now! Get this mattress and don’t look back! First night sleeping on it, I slept so good, that I overslept and was late to work, literally, that happened. I don’t recommend that part, but that’s how good of a nights sleep you will get. My wife agrees. Will have to see how it holds up long term, but suspect we will have no issues. That's not to say that it isn't a good mattress. Just that there were somethings I wish I knew before purchase. For the record, this review is for the "Amazon Basics Cooling Gel Infused Firm Support Latex-Feel Mattress, CertiPUR-US Certified - Full Size, 12 inch" (Full, 12-inch Alt Latex, Firm Feel) The positives: 1. Arrived fast 2. Easy to 'dissamble' and setup. 3. I run hot. This mattress is very breathable so this is a boon for the heat hogs out there. 4. I have only had it for two weeks. So can't say definitively as to its durability. But on first impression, I'd say it is durable. The negatives: 1. The firmness of the mattress leaves much to be a desired. I found it slightly too plush/soft for me. If given a scale from 1-10 where 1 is akin to a cloud and 10 as akin to 4 yoga mats stacked on top of eachother on a hard wood floor, this mattress is 6-7. 2. The edges of the bed has too much give; when sitting on it, one finds oneself 'sliding' off a little. It has too much give. 3. You really do need to give it between 42-72 hours to deflate. These things being said, this is a decent value for your money. If you are seeking a firm mattress, I'd look elsehwere. ... show more

Perfect sleeping for the first time in years. Just firm enough and so very comfortable. Fast shipping! It is amazing how small the box was for vacuum packing - Delivered in the morning and completely ready to use by bedtime. This on an Amazon basics frame, and the entire set cost me less than $350!

"Firm Feel" apparently isn't the same as Firm. After a little over a year, this mattress is definitely not a "firm" mattress. I weigh 180 and my wife weighs 115. It's only us. We aren't having sex parties on it. It's basically a giant sponge now. That said, do yourself a favor and realize EVERY mattress we buy will break down and have zero support. From $5000 tempurpedic to, well, this one. I can confirm that there is no reason to spend $5k since they will generally all give out. But within a year is a little ridiculous. So all you 5 star reviewers need to stop reviewing mattresses on day one and wait a year. ... show more

I sink in a TON more. This is NOT FIRM. Our old Zinus memory foam mattress I can sit on the edge of the bed and it barely moves, this Amazon Queen Size "FIRM" mattress I sink in a good 5-6 inches. This MAY be due to the air channels in one of the foam layers? Mattresses are not meant for sitting, but that's a huge indication this is less firm and less dense than Medium and Medium-Firm memory foam mattresses I've had in the past. It's not as noticeable laying down, when weight is distributed across the mattress I seem to sink in pretty evenly, so even though it's not at all "Firm" as they claim, I have had less back pain the few days we've used it so far. The problem is, now my wife is uncomfortable because she feels she is sinking in more. We're both average weight and in fair shape, but I've had back and neck pain most of my life and neck surgery a couple years ago due to injuries. This mattress seems to have a more EVEN sink for me which keeps me in better alignment compared to our worn out mattress, but since it sinks so much more my wife feels like she's sliding down and now she's having back pain. We didn't use it at all first couple of days, to let the foam rise to it's original shape/density. We are going to try it out a few more nights before deciding, but at this point I'm leaning towards returning it. I'd keep it if I slept by myself, despite sinking in more, because there is an even distribution when it's just me. It also seems a SLIGHT bit cooler than our older mattress. But since this thing sinks half way through it's 12 inch height, my wife feels like she's on a slide when my 165-170lbs sinks in more than her much lighter frame. ... show more
