The media could not be loaded. This stool/kneeling bench checks off all the boxes for Mrs Aloha Friday. As she approaches her sixties, she has been wanting something to help her kneel when she works in the garden. She's very petite at just over 5 feet tall, so it's a little tall for her to sit on to work - she'd have to bend over too much. If there's anything worse than her knees, it's her back! She's falling apart right along with me! ;o) The stool wouldn't be a total waste though - she'll use it just to sit and watch me keep working while she sips a cool drink. LOL This is very well made and sturdy. Opening and closing it is smooth and easy. Mrs AF made you a video. We would have put it outside to test, but it's still snowing - we're not Hawaii now! She was the main tester, though I was able to kneel on it very easily and comfortably. I'm closer to 250lbs, and this is rated for 200. There aren't any lower supports to hold the legs together because of the kneeling feature, so if I sat on it, it would probably flatten. LOL She had no trouble sitting on it at 130lbs, and the padding was perfectly sufficient for her comfort. The cushioning was notably a WOW for her knees though. She had a flat foam thing she dragged along when gardening, but the arms of this will allow her to help herself up more easily, and she LOVES that. I'd be able to use it for doing plumbing work under the sink, etc. The kneeling bench can definitely support my weight. Whether you flip it up or down, you've got metal touching the ground, and it will wash off perfectly with a garden hose. You can even fold it up and take it to theme parks if you need a break. It could tie to a backpack or be put in a large tote or a wheeled cart, it's that lightweight. This is a keeper. Price-wise, I think $40-$50 is probably a good neighborhood. All solid metal, no junky plastic, thick foam cushion, smooth open/close, lightweight, sturdy, versatile. Now they just need to make one to hold me, because I'm jealous. ;o)

What a wonderful garden helper. It can be used as a seat when weeding or as a kneeling pad simply by flipping it over. The padding on both sides is quite thick so it is comfortable on the knees or the tush. When using it as a kneeler, the bars that are used as legs on the stool can aid in getting up to a standing position. The legs fold down easily for storage by pressing on the spring loaded bar. In addition to using it in the garden, my grandkids use it as a seat when we have family gatherings. I highly recommend.

The media could not be loaded. This is for the folding stool. I love that it was ready to use right out of the box. The legs unfolded and locked into a positive latch system that ensures that it won't collapse by accident. The seat while in use feels very sturdy and is plenty wide for most bottoms. The cushion material is firm and you should bring an extra pad if you need more comfort. I love that this chair is easy to carry when folded and seems perfect for outdoor events like youth soccer, picnics, camping or concerts. Its size and thickness when folded is perfect for always keeping in the trunk of a vehicle. I've never see a stool like this and love its innovative design. I think if the manufacturer could work out a way to add backpack style straps to it, it would make it even better but if you are creative, you could add your own.

Amazon Basics is usually a great value compared to the competition. Although this gardening stool is well-built and the design and build quality is in-line with the competition, unfortunately, you can get pretty much the exact same stool from a different brand on Amazon. At $50, this just isn't a great value. Like most gardening stools, this is simple, and can be collapsed when not in use. The seat material is firm, but has enough cushion to delay fatigue. The mechanism to collapse the stool has a heavy spring, and not padding on the handle, which I found makes it a bit difficult after a day of work to stow away. Overall, this is a great stool, but there's nothing about it that commands the slight premium over other similar gardening stools.

The media could not be loaded. This folding garden stool is a great combination of portability and function. It folds down in seconds for easy carrying or storage, and unfolds even more readily--the legs click into place with spring-loaded catches so it's virtually effortless. Once it's set up, the thick, soft pads make for a very comfortable seat, or you can flip it over for kneeling (there are pads on both sides) and use the bars to help lift yourself up (especially nice for sore or tired knees when you've been working all day:) both positions provide a stable base, and it appears to be well made. Overall, I think this is a nice, versatile gardening bench and a good value.
