I have an AirBNB, and the bed is a plush pillow top mattress about a year and a half old. I have a long-term guest with back problems, and the bed was too soft. After looking at different options on Amazon, I went with this product to provide extra support without adding more height. (I was afraid my sheets wouldn’t fit if the product was more than 2 inches.) My guest reports the bed is so much better that she doesn’t even move when she’s asleep. I am thinking about buying one for my own bed. *Update* I bought this same mattress topper again for a second AirBNB. The mattress was too hard, and I bought it this time to soften the bed.

I like to read reviews before I order something because it helps to hear honest feedback about a product from people who have tested it themselves. I bought this memory foam mattress topper as my previous one (not the same product) had fallen apart. I tried something new and I have not been disappointed thus far. The memory foam has been incredibly helpful in making me comfortable and helping me sleep. I was starting to have back and hip pain with my old one and that has completely gone away with this topper. I am also impressed with how it keeps it’s shape and hasn’t shown any signs of sagging or indentation. When you first get in bed, it feels firm but it slowly conforms to your body and is very comfortable. Highly recommend

Has a chemical smell out of the box that is to be expected. Just don’t open the box with a machete so you don’t damage it. Great product. Like sleeping on a cloud that’s atop a mountain of cotton balls that’s popping out of an ocean of jello.

I did a lot of research before choosing this topper and am totally satisfied. It arrived in a easy to handle box and when the plastic is removed it expands over time to a nice thickness. Very dense and not flimsy. I aired it out for two days in a separate room with the window open and door closed. It still had a detectable odor for about a week. It is comfortable and formfitting. Retains it's shape. Cradles the body rather than squishing down. I'm using this over a firm memory foam mattress. It doesn't slip but rather grips the mattress so it stays in place. The size was perfect with some leeway. I use a quilted, plush, waterproof mattress pad on top so I get a luxurious combination that works well. I washed my comforter, mattress pad and sheets after a week to completely remove the slight odor. Took a night to get used to but now I love going to bed early because I fall asleep a lot quicker. Great value for the money. Perfect thickness too. Ordered a second one for the quest bed.

First, I am reviewing the Amazon Basics Cooling Gel Infused FIRM SUPPORT Topper ALTERNATIVE LATEX FOAM topper and this is not Memory Foam! We've always owned a traditional foam mattress and then a year ago we bought a very expensive memory foam mattress. Husband loves the mattress, but my 5'0" and 114lbs, side sleeping body was miserable. My shoulders, hips and low back hurt. So, I started my search for a a good old fashioned foam topper. The problem is most toppers on the market are memory foam. I tried and returned many. I settled for one where my shoulders and hips felt fine, but my low back still hurt. I started searching again and by some miracle came across this Alternative Latex Foam version. When it arrived I took it out of the packaging and it immediately sprung open. No scent. I pushed on the foam and it did not feel firm at all. It was a springy, squishy foam and thought, 'Oh No, this is not going to work'. I placed the twin size on my queen bed. A little hangs over, but lays over side of bed well with mattress cover and fitted sheet on top. As I laid on my side, I was amazed at how it evenly distributed my weight. I snuggled right into bed, slept really well with NO overheating ( I sleep warm). It's been like this every night for a month now. When I woke up this morning with no back pain I felt I had to write a review. Thank you Amazon Basics for making a true Foam mattress topper and for a good, painless nights sleep : )

While the firmness is exactly what I was looking for I am not happy with the smell. I let it unroll in a spare bedroom and the next day when I came home from work the entire house smelled like mold. I immediately ran around to try to find the source of the smell and it was the topper. I put the ceiling fan on and opened a window (even thought it was only 20 degrees outside) and shut the bedroom door. I let it air out for days turning it now and then. It isn't helping. It still smells like mold. I am so disappointed. How can I return this now that it is 10 times the size?

We LOVE this thing. We both were having trouble sleeping on our memory foam mattress. Back pain, stiffness, and getting really hot in the middle of the night. We've had this for 2 weeks now and it has definitely improved our sleep! You sink right in (in a good way) and it cradles you and takes the pressure right off. My mom came over and laid on our bed and didn't want to get up. She asked for the link so that she could buy one!

Oh my goodness... these STINK! They smelled so bad.... I had to send them back. I aired them out in a closed bedroom and I could still smell them in the house. All the way down stairs! Had hubby move them to the basement and tried airing them out for 2 weeks!!! I could still smell them coming through the heater vents. When they got a little better, we brought them upstairs and tried them out. NOPE! Still smelled. We sent them back.... our beds still have the smell on them from that one nights use. I'm seriously worried about the chemicals in these and people breathing them in and sleeping on them. Also, they don't feel like normal foam. They have a slight crunchy skin on the top of them. Made for an odd feeling when laying on them.
